Need some help with name ideas, I'm 36 weeks so running out of time slowly... We agreed on Lux a while ago but my entire family seem against it so trying to keep an open mind :) thanks!

Lux is one of our choices!

We also like Dulcie and Pearl, if that helps!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 26/02/2017 22:15

Jane
There won't be many of them in the class room

NapQueen · 26/02/2017 22:16

Ember
Petra

Yy to Jane

TroysMammy · 26/02/2017 22:16

Lux is creamy soap. Short for luxury.

JobsAGoodun · 26/02/2017 22:17

Don't tell your family your choice before baby is born!

gtyrfctsrght · 26/02/2017 22:21

Lux Aeterna - eternal light.

Unfortunately also a soap.

I like it but it may not be fun to be the person named Lux.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 26/02/2017 22:23

Opal
Sage

For paper soft hands, you can rely on Lux.

I came across an unusual name just recently, I think it's Spanish. I'll look it up.

NotTheBelleoftheBall · 26/02/2017 22:26

I like Lux... how about:

Aspen
Emmeline
or Blythe?

MrsBungle · 26/02/2017 22:26

Jane is far from unusual. Uncommon nowadays maybe.

beautyandthebump · 27/02/2017 02:39

I agree re Jane ^

More ransom, than anything but how about ...

Cordellia (Shakespeare)
Cosette ("Cause-ette" - from Les Mis)
Pandora
Seren (Welsh for star)
Luna
Iolite
Sapphire
Aria

beautyandthebump · 27/02/2017 02:39

ranDom not ransom, sorry! Blush

Pallisers · 27/02/2017 02:47

We have friends who called their baby Mary recently. I think it is fair to say her name will be unique in every group she is in for most of her life.

Lux doesn't have a nice sound to me - also inevitably makes me think of soap.

I know a girl called Cordiana - never heard that before but I like it.

Go with your gut op :) family didn't like any of our name choices for any of our DC- just aswell it wasn't up to them! Grin

Oysterbabe · 27/02/2017 16:44

Never tell anyone your name choices! Although it may have helped your baby escape being called Lux so maybe not all bad.

Lux is lovely. How about Opal or Nova?
