Expecting dc4.

If it's a boy, it will be a Thomas possibly nn Tom.

How are people's views on Lisa? Is it too 80s? I have always love the name as I think it's simple, unpretentious and feminine suiting a girl and a grown woman.

Lisa, yay or nay?
Thanks

Bland and boring, sorry!

Jooni · 18/02/2017 18:23

I agree that it's not one you think about much, but it's actually a really nice name! I'd find it refreshing to meet a little Lisa.

I also like Elise, Lise and Liesel.

bookworm14 · 18/02/2017 18:29

I think it does sound quite dated, but that shouldn't necessarily put you off. It has a similar sound to a lot of current names - Ella, Elsa, Lila etc.

Gottabeaneasierway · 18/02/2017 18:32

I know loads of mum Lisas. It's nice enough but quite middle aged now.

Sistafromanuthamista · 18/02/2017 18:56

It's refreshing. I'm struggling to stifle yawns now when I'm introduced to yet another Sophia.

SuperBeagle · 18/02/2017 19:01

I don't like it. I thought it was outdated when I went to school with one in the 2000s. She was boring too.

Ordinarily · 18/02/2017 19:10

I like it, and it's quite unusual now.

Montsti · 18/02/2017 20:29

I really don't like it - for me it's in the same bracket as Donna, Mandy, Tracey etc...very 70's/80's... yes it might make a comeback as might the others I've mentioned but personally I think it's terrible.

Elise, Eliza??

ComicSans · 18/02/2017 20:34

Lisa, meet Donna, Mandy, Kelly, Karen, Sharon and Tracy.

Sophronia · 18/02/2017 22:30

I like it. It would be quite unusual nowadays.

BitOfFun · 18/02/2017 22:33

I like it. It's quietly quirky for nowadays.

Positivitee · 18/02/2017 22:36

Awful.

AlexanderBerry · 19/02/2017 00:33

Elisa is nice too

twinklefoot · 19/02/2017 00:36

Like, like, like. I agree I am so bored of Ella, Matilda, Audrey, Izzy et al.

tralaaa · 19/02/2017 05:28

It's my name and I love it.

Eastwestbestrest · 19/02/2017 05:32

I don't agree with the bland comments - it's such a pretty name and due a comeback.

ifigoup · 19/02/2017 06:19

I prefer Lissa (like the ending of Melissa) - similar look, still simple and feminine, but a bit fresher.

KoalaDownUnder · 19/02/2017 06:39

No, terrible.

hunans · 19/02/2017 06:44

Horrendous.

Paninotogo · 19/02/2017 06:50

I usually like the unexpected revival of uncool retro names, (HATE all the Stanleys, Ivys, Lilys etc) but Lisa has an ugly, harsh sound to it.

SallyGinnamon · 19/02/2017 06:51

How can anyone say Lisa is bland and boring then suggest Elise? There are dozens around nowadays.

Lisa is my middle name, slipped in by my DF because my gran liked it. (Was supposed to be Caroline!). I've never really felt it was me.

On the other hand my uncle also called his DD Lisa (Lisa Marie!) and she absolutely rocks it!

midsummabreak · 19/02/2017 06:54

Love Lisa, great name, I am biased as I have lovely smart, sporty, and fun loving friend named Lisa

Cheesymonster · 19/02/2017 07:03

It's my name! I have always liked my name. Bit 70s maybe but due a revival.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 19/02/2017 07:32

Love it! Best friend is a Lisa so I am totally biased!

ExpectoPatronummmm · 19/02/2017 08:11

3 lisas work in my office. All bitches.
Therefore I hate the name.

Pick something newer and not so dated and overused
