I have a 3 week old baby girl twin Madeleine Smile

CakeRattleandRoll · 29/01/2017 15:39

My favourite is Madeleine.

Redpramlady · 29/01/2017 15:48

Matilda Kate

She's gorgeous

Octopus2016 · 29/01/2017 17:51

Thanks all, it's so tough. I love them all Sad

Matilda Kate seems like it might be the one...

Violet definitely.

strawberrypenguin · 29/01/2017 18:57

She gorgeous and I agree she totally suits Matilda

Bringbacksummer · 29/01/2017 19:17

I like Matilda Kate :)

Kazzawazza69 · 29/01/2017 19:22

Love Violet (my niece's name) but I think she looks like a Matilda!

user1472334322 · 29/01/2017 19:32

Ds aged 5 likes Matilda! He says to call her Tillie. I think Kate is an excellent middle name too! (It's my name! )
Congratulations on your gorgeous dd, OP.

lousmum · 29/01/2017 21:56

I was going to say Violet but then I saw the photo and thought Matilda, definitely Matilda. She is gorgeous OP

Octopus2016 · 29/01/2017 22:00

If we go with Matilda - what's more likely to happen: Matty(ie) or Tilly(ie)? I think I prefer Tilly(ie) but don't mind Matty(ie) just wondering Smile

Thanks all!

Also, do you prefer Matilda Kate or Matilda Grace? Kate is less popular, but also sad about letting go of the other names and Grace sounds the nicest with Matilda.

Matilda Grace

helensburgh · 29/01/2017 22:05

Grace. Lovely . Easy to spell. Can't be mispronouced. Lovely for a baby, teenager, adult.

dontpokethebear · 29/01/2017 22:05

Defo Violet.

Isadora2007 · 29/01/2017 22:07

I love mattie but you may find a nickname justs grows with her. Tillie is cute. So is Tilda.

notMarlene · 29/01/2017 22:11

The nn you use is likely to be the one that sticks, well, until school age anyway. After that it's a free for all, I'm afraid. DD will have her own opinion too. That said, free forming nn's are more likely if you only ever use the full name than if there;s an established nn. No way of knowing exactly which form she'll choose in the end though!

Tilda is my favourite I think, or Tilly.

I like Matilda Kate, it's a good name.

Catherinebee85 · 29/01/2017 22:13

I love Gabriella Kate. Ella is a lovely nn xx

Octopus2016 · 29/01/2017 22:13

Yeah, I don't really mind. I prefer the full name though Grin

Matilda Kate is lovely.

Aquamarine1029 · 31/01/2017 03:49

Madeleine. Definitely. It is so beautiful and so classic. Would have used it for my daughter but my cousin beat me to it. It was my grandmother's name and she was an absolutely lovely woman.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 31/01/2017 03:53

OMG, what a beautiful baby! Star

I'm echoing Matilda Kate.

ImYourMama · 31/01/2017 03:55

Matilda Kate

She's gorgeous 😍

kineticmagnetic · 31/01/2017 04:38

Definitely a beautiful Matilda (Tilly) Kate Smile
