Opinions on the name Violet?

i used to love this name, then went off it, sort of liking it again, what do you think?

Love it, but DH didn't so was ruled out!

Beauregard. Roald Dahl. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The sister in the Hyacinth Bucket programme.

Also, makes me think Violent if read too quickly.... Which is a shame as I think it's a pretty name.

I love it but pp has listed all the Mn clichés about the name...........

I do like it but always think of Violent Violet. It is only one constant.

Violet Beauregard is a favourite of the DD who I wanted to name Violet!

I love it. It's a really pretty name but also conjures up images of a strong, feisty girl.

For me its one of those with multiple pronunciations (Via-let, Vi-o-let) which might be irritating.

It's very popular at the moment.

Personally I don't like it. Reminds me of the word violent. And of the girl in Charlie and the chocolate factory

Not sure -when I skim read it I just see violent😦Could be lovely but has potential to be misused.

For some reason, it's an ugly name to me.
