Morven or Morag

Which of these two do you like best?

Both are gorgeous, but I slightly prefer Morven.

Morven is gorgeous

I love Morag pronounced the Lowland way, but not so keen on the Highland way. If you're going for the Highland way then I'd prefer Morven.

All the people I've known of either name have been lovely though.

Morven. The more I say it, the more I like it. I'm more familiar with Morag but like it less as it sounds harsh and dreary.

Is it More-ag or Moh-rag?

Knew a nice Morven at school. Also knew a nice Morag but it still makes me think of 1) cow from Fully Booked 2) the witch from Ewoks (80s cartoon version)

I met the loveliest lady at university called Morven, so I'd go for that.

Definitely Morven out of those two. Morag is horrible. I don't like girly names at all but it's off the other end of the scale, really harsh and sounds like hag/toe-rag etc. Just not a nice sound.

I love Morven, very pretty yet strong sounding and not that common either. It was on our shortlist along with Esme and Nina. Morag I'm afraid makes me think of dowdy middle aged women and reminds me of a character in Take the Highroad?
