Hey. I'm trying to think of a name for my daughter. I want an elegant name. I've always thought that the name Alyssa was quite nice. What do you all think?

Or Gabrielle?

It is elegant. I know one who is nearly 40 so it isn't such a new/'made up' name

Alessia is also nice

Yes, I think it's elegant. I know three - one is a dancer, very elegant, one is a humanitarian aid worker, also pretty elegant and the third is a volleyball playing stoner, not especially elegant.

I don't think it's elegant or classy. I think it's of a similar ilk to April, Kayleigh, Courtney. I much much much prefer Alicia (pn A-liss-ee-a) or Alice.
