I prefer Peter. I have a lovely uncle called Peter. Smile

Mark. But much prefer Marcus as someone else has suggested, or Luke

NotYoda · 30/10/2016 08:26

Marcus nn Mark

NotYoda · 30/10/2016 08:26

OP

Would you consider

Michael?

I like Peter and we considered it seriously, but French relative pointed out that 'peter' (with an acute accent on first e) means 'to fart' in French, so if you have much likelihood of him mixing with French people a lot might be best avoided. I don't like Mark, harsh sounding ugly name.

Peter

Mark - a strong name that is not at all common these days, but will serve him well right through life. Don't mind Peter, but it's perhaps a bit drippy, and not keen on the inevitable Pete.

itssquidstella · 30/10/2016 19:46

Peter. Mark is the world's dullest name.

Vixxfacee · 30/10/2016 19:48

Both names are terrible.

midsomermurderess · 01/11/2016 09:26

Mark is a 1970s name: god help us.

SorenaJ · 01/11/2016 14:30

Mark

This made me smile because Peter Mark is a huge chain of hairdressers in Ireland. So if there is any chance you will live there in future, just make sure you haven't used 'Peter Mark' as the full name.

I'm not wild on either name and together with Sarah, they sound a bit too 'safe' to me. Someone else suggested Luke and that led me to Matthew, keeping up an evangelical theme - I think Matthew and Sarah sound lovely.

BarInSpace · 01/11/2016 15:07

Peter, although they're both nice. The plainer traditional names are quite refreshing these days. I'd say John, James, David and Michael are on similar lines.

Peter makes me think of willies. Mark is a bit dated but ok.

Marcus is fucking terrible.
