Is Louisa dated or boring?

I strongly dislike the band Louise (apologies to any Louises out there!) but Louisa is definitely growing on me and v pretty. Is it a bit dated? Dull? Haven't heard of any little Louisas around here. I do seem to gravitate to 80s/90s kind of names!

Louisa is lovely.

Louisa is lovely. I love it.

i always thought names like George, Harry, Grace, Lily were old and boring when I was growing up, but now they are everywhere,

If you love the name, use it. Don't worry what you think others will perceive It as.

I prefer Louise tbh, but it was really over used in the 70's which has ruined it I think.

On a slight tangent, does anyone else apart from me feel irrationally cross with their parents for saddling them with one of those excessively popular 70's/80's names and then bunging Louise in as a middle name? My siblings got great names but mine is dull as fuck and didn't even serve the function of differentiating me from the 27 other kids in my year group with the same name.

Aderyn - I expect Amelia Rose, Lily May and Olivia Grace will post the same thing in 30 years (I have very popular 80s name and 80s default middle name)

What about Eloise as an alternative?

Louise and Louisa both seems dated to me but I really like Eloise. As others have said Louisa is likely to be misread/misheard as Louise and if you really dislike Louise that could be a problem.

I don't really like it but that's probably because the Louisa's i have known aren't very nice.

Love it. Really classy. One of my favourite girls names.
