John! Finns are ten a penny.

PotatoBread · 29/09/2016 17:47

Finn's are everywhere at the mo and have been for a few years. It's a lovely name so that explains it but it depends if popularity bothers you. Flynn is also lovely and not used so much.

I met a baby John recently and it made me realise that I haven't heard a baby called that in years! I really liked it and it really seems to suit him.

I like Flynn as a first choice (even though you didn't include it as an option Grin ) and then John with Finn last.

John.

Johnny even better.

Finn is beyond boring and overused at this point.

John every time

EweAreHere · 29/09/2016 18:53

Finn is lovely, but very popular. If you're attached, Flynn is a nice option.

John has always been a nice name.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/09/2016 21:10

Definitely John.

RiverTam · 29/09/2016 21:14

Finn, never come across one.

John is such a dull name.

Ohdofuckoffplease · 29/09/2016 21:37

Finn. I know it's uncommon but I do find John a bit blah still. I also knew one at uni who was a prize twunt

katemess12 · 29/09/2016 22:13

John.

Johnny is a very cool nickname.

Finn is boring and overdone. Flynn is nicer, if you like that sound.

Wafflenose · 29/09/2016 22:13

I like Finn, but love John, and it would make a refreshing change around here. Just thought I'd throw Flynn out there too... it's cool.

Wafflenose · 29/09/2016 22:13

X-post with kate!! Grin

Floggingmolly · 29/09/2016 22:14

John. Finn is shit.

CakeRattleandRoll · 30/09/2016 06:27

John

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 01/10/2016 02:22

John is lovely and IMO long overdue a bit of a comeback.*
It's classic, and unlike so many current favourites, will not date.

There won't be 3 other Johns in his class at school, which is more than you can say for all the Finns, Alfies and Archies.

(*but not too much, or it'll turn into another Archie.)
