John

I prefer Finn but John is cute too, especially as a nickname Johnny - it's hard to say as they're such different names

ButtMuncher · 02/10/2016 05:39

Lol, my 16 day old DS is Finlay Grin I thought I was getting a reasonably middle of the road name in terms of popularity but guess not Grin

Still, Finn Smile

BikeRunSki · 02/10/2016 05:47

John, for all the reasons above.

mollie123 · 02/10/2016 06:03

John - lovely classic name.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 02/10/2016 06:07

Finn

Although I like Johnny.

EllenDegenerate · 02/10/2016 09:00

I love John.

MerryMarigold · 02/10/2016 09:11

John

harrietm87 · 02/10/2016 16:24

John! Such a great classic name, but rare these days.

Mol1628 · 02/10/2016 16:25

John. Don't like Finn at all

notagiraffe · 02/10/2016 16:31

John/Johnny.

Finn is a bit like Wayne, Gary or Darren - cool at the time but likely to date. It seems like a faddish name whereas John is a classic.

Not that keen on Flynn but may be because the only one I knew fancied himself hugely and was a morose, lazy, arrogant bloke I had to work with. Off-putting.

BertrandRussell · 02/10/2016 16:35

John.

Ds's best friend is called John, known to his immediate circle as Johnno.

MerryMarigold · 03/10/2016 10:30

Yep. He will likely be Johno or Johnny Boy. But I like those nn's.

MerryMarigold · 03/10/2016 10:30

(Why do you never get Finny Boy's or Finno's)

MitzyLeFrouf · 03/10/2016 11:11

I know two baby Johns. But it's a nice enough name if a bit staid.

I prefer Finn though due to its connections to Irish mythology.

Blomme · 07/10/2016 21:05

Finn. Smile
John is so dull and old man.

theocat · 07/10/2016 21:12

Love John/Johnny

Quite liked Finn when I first heard it but way too popular now.

albertcampionscat · 07/10/2016 21:14

John!

celtiethree · 07/10/2016 21:20

Finn, hate John it's dull

Floggingmolly · 07/10/2016 22:00

How about Seán; the Irish form of John?
