Grace is lovely and elegant although quite popular at the moment (wouldn't bother me as DS has a top 10 name because DH and I loved it)

I don't like violet quite as much

fitzbilly · 09/08/2016 15:07

Violet

Grace is boring

winewolfhowls · 09/08/2016 15:16

They are both lovely. Maybe see what the baby looks like, if she hasn't already been born.

sonlypuppyfat · 09/08/2016 15:17

Grace it's lovely

GoldPlatedBacon · 09/08/2016 15:18

Violet

Alisvolatpropiis · 09/08/2016 15:19

Grace.

Violet is horrible sounding, in my opinion.

NoCapes · 09/08/2016 15:20

Violet

Grace is a bit wet to me

spaintrotter · 09/08/2016 15:20

Violet.

ThoraGruntwhistle · 09/08/2016 15:21

Grace is a nicer name I think, but Violet is less popular if that's a concern. I like them both though.

autumnmoon · 09/08/2016 15:27

Violet is very pretty and Vee could be a sweet nickname. Grace is ok on a graceful child.....

DramaAlpaca · 09/08/2016 15:29

I much prefer Violet to Grace.

SpecialAgentFreyPie · 09/08/2016 15:32

Grace. Violet makes me think VioLent

BabyGirl2016 · 09/08/2016 15:32

Seems very mixed! Thank you

Could you do both, with one as a middle name?

MmmCazals · 09/08/2016 15:37

I prefer Grace you could also consider Gracie?

Loyly · 09/08/2016 15:38

Violet

DarkBlueEyes · 09/08/2016 15:39

I do love Grace as a name but if you don't want to have her in a class with other girls called Grace, go for Violet. NO Vi though pleeeeeaassseee!!!!

cosmicglittergirl · 09/08/2016 15:47

I have used both of these names as middle names. I'd go Violet, but it's a tough choice as both are lovely.

PaperdollCartoon · 09/08/2016 15:48

Violet. Gracie is everywhere (Gracie is awful as a full name as well, nn only)

bolognaadvice · 09/08/2016 15:49

Violet grace is lovely.

Violet was top of my girl list but then I had a wobble as think she'd get called viole_ (people dropping the T). I have a daughter with a name where all the kids drop the T and it bugs the heck outta me!

Sophronia · 09/08/2016 15:50

Grace

BikeRunSki · 09/08/2016 15:52

Both are very common amongst DC (4)'s peers, and both a little unfortunate if the bearer turns out not to be graceful or flowery. I'm big and clumpy and prone to clumsiness, I'd have been terrible within a flower name.

AndNowItsSeven · 09/08/2016 15:57

Violet

CPtart · 09/08/2016 16:31

Not keen on either but I'd go for Grace (definitively not Gracie). Although it's very popular.
