DMIL is Cadence, so it's nice for that reason too.

Opinions?

I recently had a Caden in my class. He was lovely.
I'd never thought it was 'chavvy' until I heard it on MN. I think some people just like to jump on a bandwagon.
I do however dislike Jayden, Jadyn or however you want to spell it because once again, working in a school, most of them have been less than angelic!

LucyFuckingPevensie · 08/08/2016 17:43

I have worked in a school too and really dislike the idea that you have naughty names. They Jayden I know is really well behaved and does really well at school.

Children from all walks of life - and different names can be naughty or nice ime. That's pretty obvious though isn't it.

LunaLoveg00d · 08/08/2016 17:45

Kayden / Caden / Brayden / Jayden etc are all awful.

Shame, because the "normal" name of Aidan/Aiden has been tarnished by them.

LockedOutOfMN · 08/08/2016 18:31

I'm a teacher and would never judge a child by his or her name HOWEVER over the years I have noticed that often children with the same name have similar traits. Not all of them, of course!

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 08/08/2016 18:42

Love it.

Don't set too much store by what you read on the baby names board; bear in mind that people here rave over the names Clementine and Persephone for newborns.

I think Caden is lovely.

BackforGood · 08/08/2016 18:59

I work with pre-schoolers, and, over the last 3 or 4 yers it seems about 60% of them have been called one or another spelling of Caden / Kayden / Kaiden / (+ some more creative ones)

WaitrosePigeon · 08/08/2016 19:37

Oh usual, behave.

My opinion on the name is that is horrific. If that makes me stupid, that's fine with me Smile

Madbengalmum · 08/08/2016 20:15

No, sorry, i think it sounds common.

I'm not a fan, though it isn't terrible. I would be more inclined to use it as a middle name because the family link is really lovely.

i think caden is a lovely name, although I'm bias as its my ds' name spelt 'Cayden' and I can assure you he is like every other 5 year old boy, and if you spoke to his teacher she would be singing his praises as he was top of his class and very well behaved.

A name is just that a name, it is how you raise your children.

WaitrosePigeon · 08/08/2016 21:23

You can think I'm stupid for my opinion on a baby name, that's fine Smile

dontpokethebear · 09/08/2016 07:03

Lucyfuckingpevensie lovely choice of words.

dontpokethebear · 09/08/2016 07:04

Whoops bold fail Grin

LucyFuckingPevensie · 09/08/2016 09:15

Thanks Smile.

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 09/08/2016 10:21

How can it be horrific? Surely 'horrific' is reserved for names like Adolf?

WaitrosePigeon · 09/08/2016 10:23

It can be horrific because that's how I feel about it? You have no idea what connotations it has for me, or doesn't. This is the baby names board where we discuss our likes and dislikes.

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 09/08/2016 10:52

Chill out love.

WaitrosePigeon · 09/08/2016 11:16

Did you mean to be so rude?

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 09/08/2016 11:17

Yes.

WaitrosePigeon · 09/08/2016 11:18

Oh, you're a goady fucker. I'll leave you to it.

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 09/08/2016 11:20

A goady fucker? No dear, just amazed at your frankly ridiculous reaction to a name.

Bye bye.
