Sci-Fi based names?

My DH watches all manner of these shite programmes and wants to name our child something outlandish.

I'm not completely opposed to having a less common name, and I'm prepared to listen to his ideas, but I'm hoping someone can suggest reasonably sensible names that I can put to him, because so far I'm not liking his suggestions. I'd like a real name rather than something totally made up for tv.

There is another thread about star wars/trek (which has made me brave enough to post this) so I'm good there. Think Stargate, Farscape, Continuum, Firely, Definance, Andromeda, etc
He does also like heroes based ones such as Arrow. Flash, Shield, etc.

Oh, we don't know what we are having, so need names suitable for each please.

Farscape is full of awesome names. If I didn't name my rats after the female characters I would have a good few names form there on my girls list ATM Grin

Girls:
Aeryn & Chiana and if you want a bit outlandish then Zhaan, Sikozu, Moya, Jool, Winona, Gilina.

Boys:
John, Jack or Harvey. The rest are pretty out there (though my rat boys D'Argo & Rygel would disagree Wink )
I like Bialar though he wasn't the nicest of character (Crais). And Scorpius worked for Malfoy's son....
Stark, though many would assume an Iron Man connection. Talyn is awesome, love that name. Jothee.

I'm not a nerd really, but I do love Farscape Grin
