Am I being mad?

Willing to be told it's pregnancy hormones but I'm really warming to this name.

I even like Bo as a nn.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Please don't.
Just. Don't.

MrsHughesCarson · 06/08/2016 13:25

Boudicca is awful, Romilly is lovely.

JustHereForThePooStories · 06/08/2016 13:27

Don't do it.

I know a Boudicca. Sister to Ulysses.

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 06/08/2016 13:36

Boadicea
bow/duh/sea/a

Have I been saying and spelling it wrong all this time...

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 06/08/2016 13:41

and Buddug apparently in welsh bithig
ooh theres also a penguin in happy feet 2 called Boadicea nn Bo

CodewordRochambeau · 06/08/2016 16:03

Kimmy it's now widely accepted that Boadicea is an error, based on a mistranscription. Boudicca (boo-dik-ah) is correct.

i8sum314 · 06/08/2016 16:20

Shock at sisters Boudica and Ulysses! I can only imagine how seriously the parents take themselves!

BestZebbie · 06/08/2016 16:27

If you use the name, please do read up on the history in depth before finally doing so - there is a lot of rape and cutting off women's breasts and sewing them into their mouths and burning children alive in temples in it, possibly not quite as great a role model as the 'strong woman in chariot' image popularised to support Elizabeth 1 ( also a ginger queen)

EllenDegenerate · 07/08/2016 11:25

It's fine.

OH is pretty much opposed to it. It took me a while to convince him of Romilly.

So for now it will be Romilly unless I take another flight of fancy, but in such an instance I will be sure to confer with you all first Wink
