What names with these siblings?

I'm not pregnant! Just curious. :) And I want one more at some point

DS1 is Samuel Robert (Sam)
DD is Margaret Rose (Maggie)
DS2 is William Oliver (Will)

What "goes"? I know siblings don't have to match, but I would think it'd be strange to have another and name it Rayleigh or Haddix or something. (Which are kids I know. Damn Americans Wink )

Bonus points for names with A and M. Blush They're DH and my initials and we accidentally called our first 2 names containing those letters. We kept it going for #3. It's not vital but I don't know if another would feel left out without it.

Nice traditional names you have.

Thomas (Tom) goes nicely with Sam and Will and it has an M and an A.
James
Edward

Elizabeth (Beth)
Amelia (Millie)
Catherine (Kitty)
Matilda (Matty or Tilly)

CheerfulYank · 12/06/2016 08:38

Those are good ones! :) Thomas is really nice. So is James. It's my theoretical go to for the next baby (along with possibly Emma for a girl) but it is also FIL and BIL's name.

I do love Matilda (and Max for a boy) but those both seem too "something" with Maggie.

I would also be open to putting a name with A or M in the middle if there were a first name I really liked that didn't have either. I love Elizabeth and Phoebe and they don't have them. Would Elizabeth make me look a bit obsessed with the royals, though? :)

Oh nice selection Grin
What about
Anna

Audrey

Alexandra or Alexander

Miranda

Maud

Also like Rosalind, Joesph and Sarah.

CheerfulYank · 12/06/2016 08:43

I love Maud! I don't know if I want to repeat initials but it would be a nice middle.

Alexander has always been on DH's list. I actually really like it but it's SO popular here. Although most of the ones I know are at least 8 so maybe it's dying down a little. Especially give the fact that I don't even want to try to have a baby for two or three years! :o

Rosalind is so pretty! Anna and Joseph are out due to family members with those names.

CheerfulYank · 12/06/2016 09:36

He's just one now, Lighthouse. Here he is! This was just a few days ago; we were watching a parade :) He's the squishiest, happiest little thing.

Hattie is one of my favorite names! I love Susannah and MIL is Suzanne so it would be nice but I don't know about having a Susie and a Sam. I do love the nn Zuzu though!

Pilates I love Madeleine but I know she'd get Maddie and Maggie and Maddie is too much. :o Still I do love it, especially after Madeline L'engel. (That has to be the wrong spelling but I'm too lazy to Google.)

I have a Susannah who is a Susie, a Susie-anna, a Zanna, a Shoshana and a Susannah-Joanna-plays-on-the-piano dependent on our mood!

Cheerful! I remember a thread like this a couple of years ago when you "weren't pregnant".

My Sam is about the same age as yours (maybe a year younger) and my DD is Amy. I think Sam and Amy go very well. Anna is also awesome, it goes with everything in all languages. Adam too.

CheerfulYank · 12/06/2016 22:19

Bite that tongue Bike :o I really and truly am not but I think DH and I both know we're not done. And I take forever to decide names so I might as well get a head start!

Amy is nice! I hadn't thought of that one.

Also thought of Louisa.

Just5minswithDacre · 13/06/2016 22:56

Annabel May just popped in my head when I read that. Any good?

I always think of your DC as tiny Pilgrims Fathers (and Mother) Bugsy Malone style.

And you can't have a first name that doesn't shorten now and break the pattern.

Just5minswithDacre · 13/06/2016 22:57

Louisa is a great name.

GinnyMcginface · 13/06/2016 23:04

We have five sons and Samuel is the oldest. Other names (and I've mixed in middle names too to save it being quite do identifying) are Jacob, Alexander, James, Gabriel, Joseph, Benjamin.

Just5minswithDacre · 13/06/2016 23:09

How 'not pregnant' are you exactly? Grin

CheerfulYank · 14/06/2016 18:35

I almost named DD Louisa! I love Lulu. I honestly love Louisa Maud but it would out me as the obsessive Anne of Green Gables fan that I am. :o I love Frances as well. Any good?

Who are you 5Minutes?! I know I know you! I am totally not pregnant at all by any stretch of the imagination :)

Annabel May is beautiful and I love Annie. I may write that one down!

Love Louisa Maud. Also Frances. What about Dorothea? Great heroine.
