What names with these siblings?

I'm not pregnant! Just curious. :) And I want one more at some point

DS1 is Samuel Robert (Sam)
DD is Margaret Rose (Maggie)
DS2 is William Oliver (Will)

What "goes"? I know siblings don't have to match, but I would think it'd be strange to have another and name it Rayleigh or Haddix or something. (Which are kids I know. Damn Americans Wink )

Bonus points for names with A and M. Blush They're DH and my initials and we accidentally called our first 2 names containing those letters. We kept it going for #3. It's not vital but I don't know if another would feel left out without it.

Ha how could you tell that? Grin Yes you do Smile

SecretNutellaFix · 14/06/2016 20:34

Annabel or Marianne (Annie)

Andrew (Drew) or Michael

CheerfulYank · 14/06/2016 20:39

Ooh Dorothea is great! I do like her.

DH is Andrew, but called Andy rather than Drew. :)

I do like Marianne Dashwood!

Daniel (Dan)

Itsaplayonwords · 14/06/2016 20:44

If you like Hattie how about Henrietta (Hettie).

I'm rubbish with boys names!

CheerfulYank · 14/06/2016 21:30

Just remembered LM Montgomery is Lucy Maud and not Louisa Maud anyway Blush

I like Hettie! :) Would be Heddie in an American accent though. If you're not careful to pronounce the t's they turn into D's or disappear altogether. I take care of a little girl called Peyton and she usually gets PAY-en from everyone.

I like Magnus but I'd call him Mags and I already call Maggie Mags :)

LOVE Rosie but Maggie's middle name is Rose and we call her Maggie Rose a lot.

Jemima
Beatrice

Matthew
Adam

HeteronormativeHaybales · 15/06/2016 06:43

I think Rosalind, Harriet (Hattie), Louisa and Frances are lovely and would go well.

Boys - how about Benedict?

CheerfulYank · 15/06/2016 06:57

I like Hattie a lot but it would be pronounced Haddie here. Which I don't actually mind. There was a Haddie (and spelled that way) on Parenthood, which was one of my favorite shows ever! :)

Rosalind I adore but it would turn into Rose and that's Maggie's other name. Louisa and Frances are great and were on my short list before. This is making me broody Blush

Benedict is not usable in America but I do like it!

Hector is really cute! I also like Henry.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 15/06/2016 07:52

I remember you having Will too, as it was around the same time I had DS. So sweet!

Don't see if it's been suggested but I think Miranda goes well with your other DC names, as do Michael and Matthew.

CheerfulYank · 15/06/2016 08:10

It hasn't been long enough to consider another Bendy, has it? :) I know I'm not going to try for a few years as Will's still a baby himself but I'm just starting to really feel like I'm not done after all!

Miranda is pretty. Michael and Matthew are family members though. I'm not sure if I want any M, W, or S names though since I don't know about sharing initials. I love Max and Madeleine but Maggie with either Max or Maddie feels a bit much.

Oh, Emily is great. I think our dd would have been an Emily had it not bcome so inexplicably popular (and often misspelled as Emely Hmm ) in the country we live in.

I can't help feeling another 3-syllable name would be good, although 2 would be OK too. How about Anthony? Jonathan? Jeremy?

BendydickCuminsnatch · 15/06/2016 13:20

No I'm really not ready for another either yank! I did want an 18 month gap but my body is nowhere near there yet, and I'm actually quite glad of it as it would have been hard work, ha!

RickOShay · 15/06/2016 19:00

Ok. Today's thoughts are Clara, Josephine, Peter, John and Edward. What do you think? Johnny very sweet, but yet cool nickname. Josie v sweet as well.

travellinghopefully12 · 15/06/2016 21:21

Simon
Laura
Polly
Jane

CheerfulYank · 16/06/2016 20:04

Bendy my DD and Will are not quite two years apart and there are definitely pros and cons! :)

Jane and Emily are cousins of mine. We do see them quite a bit so I probably wouldn't use those.

Love Josephine! Clara is good too. DH has an uncle and an extremely unpleasant cousin who are both named John so that is out, which is a shame as I love Johnny on little boys. I've always liked Peter but here it would be like naming a boy Willy there :(

I really like Simon but it's too close to Sam. Polly is cute. :)

OP posts:
CheerfulYank · 16/06/2016 20:06

Actually I really like Polly. :) I don't know if I could use it by itself when the others have longer names. I know it's really a nickname for Mary but I feel like something like Penelope makes more sense...

OP posts:
CheerfulYank · 16/06/2016 20:06

Penelope Marigold, called Polly :o

someonescj · 16/06/2016 20:09

Ada, Iris, Beatrice or Ivy for a girl
Marcus (Mark) or Nathaniel for a boy.
I absolutely love Maggie

CheerfulYank · 17/06/2016 03:17

Thanks someone :) She is such a Maggie! When I was pregnant my mom tried to talk me into Anabel or Sophie and thought I like those, I'm glad I didn't. She is such a bold, fierce little thing and those wouldn't have suited.
