Think we have finally whittled name choices down to two girls names and would appreciate opinions please! :) we already have a daughter called Isla so would like it to go with her name too.

So.. Poppy or Imogen? What do you think?

Imogen, I think the Imogen and Isla sound find together, just make sure they have different middle initial so they don't mix up post.

Poppy-no Prob with two 'I' names if you really like Imogen though. How's about Ava?

Imogen.

Imagen does sound classic. However - if you remove cultural references and listen to the actual sounds IMHO Imagen doesn't fair well - unlike Isla. Poppy is better in this regard. Ava is even better.

I love both but I'll vote for Imogen. I think it sounds lovely with Isla too.

Poppy - I like flower names and they are such cheerful flowers, such a gorgeous colour. And something a child can relate to from a young age which I think is lovely - "I called you Poppy after this beautiful red flower" - as you walk through fields of gold together
All blessings to you all whichever you decide Flowers

Definitely Imogen. Poppy just makes me think of 'popping' things.

Imogen.

Imo is a lovely shortening. And so is Immie.

Poppy is a name for a cat.

100% Poppy - can not stand Imogen, just twee and pretentious.

Another vote for Poppy. Also adore flower names. Imogen sound clunky and boring, but know a few mums who chose it because they think it sounds really classy. It doesn't (to me anyway). Imy is also most sickly nn I've heard arrggh!!

Poppy is WAY more twee than Imogen.

Imogen.

IMHO Isla and Imogen flow better than Isla and poppy. Both lovely names tho. Congratulations! X

I wouldn't have two same gender siblings with the same initial (can get confusing when mail is addressed to Miss I. Surname).

But I don't like Poppy at all.

If either of these names could be said to be 'twee' it is quite obviously Poppy!

Another vote for Imogen here. One of my favourite girls names!
