Aurora - sleeping beauty or northern lights

Hello

Would appreciate some honest feedback...am 37 weeks pregnant with second daughter.

My current favourite name is Aurora but i want to know if people associate this with Disney/ Sleeping Beauty or with Aurora Borealis/ northern lights? I'm hoping it's the latter as dd1 doesn't have a 'disney princess' name but step daughter does and don't want her to feel left out! The many many joys of picking baby names!

I think location has a lot to do with it too. Here in Northern Canada it would be about the lights. For those in the US I'd think Disney

I didn't know it was a disney name. Just makes me think of the amazing lights and also leads to the nn Rory which I absolutely adore.

The Battleship Aurora, moored in St Petersburg, a blank shot from which signalled the start of the assault on The Winter Palace at the beginning of the October Revolution in 1917. So a socialist name.

To me it's a fab veruca salt song! It's a cute name.

I really like it for the lights connection but wimped out due to the Disney connection

I don't think of Disney when I hear the name Jasmine at all.

I have an Aurora. If commented on, which is rarely, people tend to think northern lights. She is actually named for the goddess Aurora.

I would think of the sound a dog makes when it's chewing a toffee.

Erring towards northern lights. It looks nice written down, but saying it out loud is clumsy for me. Would probably get used to it though!

A friend of mine has an Aurora, named after the northern lights. Without exception, every single person assumes she's named after Sleeping Beauty. My friend gets the rage about it!!

That's my fear JenniferAnistonsHair! Although have been pleasantly surprised with the amount of people here veering towards the lights: had expected the opposite.
