.....But dh doesn't but we do want a short solid but uncommon/not overly popular name.
Please give me some ideas. Baby needs a name now!

Millions of Sams here. So much so that when my cousin and his wife had twin boys I said to my mum "I presume one of them is Sam?" & sure enough, he was!

I'd never had considered Rex tbh , but I have a Max which is a very short, solid and good name suits any type of boy.(and very few Max's at his school)

I was at a Parents Evening, one of the Mums called to her son : "Josh".
Love that name.

Another vote for Rex! Sounds bit more interesting/cool than Max while still solid & masculine and where we are (London) 100s of little Max's at the moment.
