Which of these names do you like for a girl? I already have a Eva and a Isaiah. Feel free to criticise, suggestions are also welcome!

None to be honest.

Armelle is the best, but it's not good.

Empress is comical - you're not Kim and Kanye - your child will 99.9% probably live a very normal life, in which a name like Empress will be a hindrance.

Eadlin doesn't look like a name to me. I may be wrong, and hugely culturally insensitive, but it looks like a bastardisation of Aladdin.

Italy isn't one of those place names that works well as a name. Even if it did, Italy sounds masculine to me.

Your list is a shame because Eva and Isaiah are both so lovely. On the place theme, would a name like India suit you? Eva, Isaiah and India is a great sib set.

SkyShadow · 03/01/2016 21:59

Eadlin and Armelle are the best two IMO.

I really hate Italy as a child's name.

Jesabel · 03/01/2016 21:59

Amelle is nicer than Armelle.

Italy and Empress (snigger) aren't names for people.

Eadlin sounds more like a name - is it gaelic?

SoWhite · 03/01/2016 22:01

Agree with Jesabel, Amelle is pretty.

RiverTam · 03/01/2016 22:02

I don't think any work with your current DC as none of them look like actual names, which your DC have. Apart from Eadlin, is it Irish?

EmpressOfTheVulvaCupcakes · 03/01/2016 22:02
Grin
WaitrosePigeon · 03/01/2016 22:04

They are all a bit silly tbh.

Sophronia · 03/01/2016 22:04

I don't like any of them, sorry.

ScarlettDarling · 03/01/2016 22:05

Yikes, sorry but they're all awful.

What about Amelie instead of Armelle?

SkyShadow · 03/01/2016 22:06

Eadlin's an Anglo-Saxon name according to Google. I'm sure I've come across it recently - perhaps some minor character in a fantasy novel? - but I just can't remember where. It's annoying me now.

BertrandRussell · 03/01/2016 22:07

All awful!

Tartyflette · 03/01/2016 22:07

Empress sounds like a female GSD, or similar. Sorry.

SirChenjin · 03/01/2016 22:07

How are you pronouncing Armelle?

Forget the rest - pregnancy hormones have clouded your judgement Grin

SuckingEggs · 03/01/2016 22:08

sorry, not keen.

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 03/01/2016 22:08

Italia exists as a girl's name, in Italy obvs. It's very frumpy.
The others sound like air fresheners. Your other children have classic traditional names, none of your suggestions would go with them.

PurpleDaisies · 03/01/2016 22:09

I really don't like any of them. Sorry about that. Eva and Isaiah are great names though.

Duckdeamon · 03/01/2016 22:10

All terrible but empress and italy are the worst.

elQuintoConyo · 03/01/2016 22:10

Armelle - isn't she a character in My Name is Earl?

Italy and Empress definitely not.

Eadlin is growing on me Smile

Isaiaheva · 03/01/2016 22:14

Armelle is French I believe, maybe I should have a rethink then.

Eadlin. Sounds like an anti biotics
Armelle. Sounds like a contraceptive pill
Empress is nice but she'd have to be able to carry it off.
Italy. I like. After all there are lots of children named after countries aren't there. But the only thing is. Italy would have to mean something to to you . ie where she was conceived. Where you got engaged, yours and your parnters first holiday destination for example.

PenguinsAreAce · 03/01/2016 22:20

Eadlin.

How about India?

manicinsomniac · 03/01/2016 22:36

Definitely not Empress! What a name to have to live up to.

I like Eadlin, and Italy has a pretty sound but I'm not sure it's really become a name as well as place like lots of other places have.

Not keen on Armelle but it's ok.

BertrandRussell · 03/01/2016 23:05

Presumably Empress is a joke?

Borninthe60s · 03/01/2016 23:16

They're all ridiculous!

grumpysquash2 · 03/01/2016 23:50

I'm sorry OP, I am not keen on any of your suggestions. But Eva and Isaiah are both gorgeous. As they are both Hebrew names, how about one of these to make a sibling set:

Rachel
Ruth
Naomi
Dinah
Talia
Maya
