Names to go with a French surname

We have the surname Bisson (pronounced Bee-son). What names for boy or girl would you suggest to go with this? We live in the Channel Islands so French names are quite popular but not sure if we should go English? Difficult beacuse I am a teacher and many names are 'off limits' as they bring to mind past students. Please help!

I'd go for a name that works in both languages - Alice, Charlotte, Lucas, Tom etc.

Thanks everyone, that's got us started. I love Genevieve and Sylvie and they sound good with Bisson. Can't do most of the other girls names because I associate with other people's children so probably need something a bit more unusual. Absolutely love Remi but OH hates it and he doesn't like biblical names. He has very unusual first name so is probably more adventurous than me. Thanks for the ideas, it has helped clarify things a bit.

Genevieve is nice but pronounced very differently in English (Jenna-veev) - could this be a problem?

Thanks IguanaTail, Eloise is lovely, maybe Éloise or Héloïse. We'd use the French pronunciation of Geneviève but wouldn't be upset if others used the English. Pronunciation isn't an issue for us as we are used to our surname being mispronounced all the time. If people pronounce the first name the English way they will do the same with the surname and if they use French pronunciation they will do it for both names – hopefully!

Wow, so many names that we hadn't thought about! Thank you one and all for the suggestions, it has confirmed that we definitely want something with a French feel. Really not sure about boys names though as neither of us like the 'classic' boys names. Thanks again for all the suggestions.
