Darcy and Luke sound like nice kids. Dulcie and Duke sound like they might be trouble.

shutupandshop · 12/12/2015 18:19

Duke don't like

Dulcie sweet

TheoriginalLEM · 12/12/2015 18:31

neither are my cup of tea. duke makes me think of a right little bruiser. dulcie just no.

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 12/12/2015 18:31

My parents have a dog called duke
Dulcie is nice though

SilverOldie2 · 12/12/2015 19:15

Duke is hideous but fine I guess if you're happy for people to laugh and sneer at your son.

Fairylea · 12/12/2015 19:17

You're brave! :)

I think both are awful sorry Blush

sofiahelin · 12/12/2015 19:24

I know a marmaduke called duke for short. He's only 3 & already adults laughing nevermind kids yet. People are creul

SirChenjin · 12/12/2015 19:31

Dulcie is lovely - very vintage.

Duke?? Putting that down to pregnancy hormones. Just don't - there are so many nice names out there to pick from.

Nothighgaphere · 12/12/2015 19:43

Duke is a dog.

squoosh · 12/12/2015 19:48

Duke pr. Dook reminds me of John Wayne.

It's a name I'd laugh at in private. Sorry!

insan1tyscartching · 12/12/2015 19:49

Sorry I don't like either, Dulcie though is not as awful as Duke.

Cliffdiver · 12/12/2015 21:32

Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said...

Dulcie - lovely

Duke - Dog, Only Fools etc.

Sorry, op

whatisthisthing · 12/12/2015 21:40

I think Duke was the dog that belonged to Marlene and Boycie in Only Fools and Horses.

But if you love it OP, then it's your decision, not ours.

Cliffdiver · 12/12/2015 21:50

How about Kingsley as a alternative to Duke?

calzone · 12/12/2015 21:53

Duke is just awful. He will be the laughing stock of the staff room......

Dulcie is lovely.

Doublebubblebubble · 12/12/2015 21:56

Haha would seem I'm in the minority(as per) I quite like Duke definitely not keen on Dulcie though (potential to be called dull) xx

Waltermittythesequel · 12/12/2015 21:57

Both awful.

But why ask if you've made up your mind?

WeThreeMythicalKings · 12/12/2015 21:58

Poor kid.

Cliffdiver · 12/12/2015 21:59

*an Xmas Blush

Oysterbabe · 12/12/2015 22:00

I quite like Duke. I know a cousins called Duke and Rocco and think they're nice names.

ENtertainmentAppreciated · 12/12/2015 22:10

My inlaws had a sausage dog called Duke, he was an absolute vicious git with a giant superiority complex Confused

IguanaTail · 12/12/2015 22:15

Duke is a dog. An American dog - Dook.

RabbitSaysWoof · 12/12/2015 22:17

Duke is quite American to me, in Frasier the dad had a friend called Duke he said it 'dook' who he used to always say he was meeting. I didn't know dogs were called Duke Blush

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 12/12/2015 22:17

I had a dog called Duke as a child.

He was from a rescue and completely crazy. He used to bite our social worker when she came round...

I think whoever chose him missed the memo about dogs called Duke.

dontevenblink · 13/12/2015 06:12

Duke is actually a banned name here in New Zealand! Can't use titles as names:
