Baby names

love Aria but can't use it

I'm trying to think of similar names.

I did think of Arianna but as a massive HP fan I don't think I'd like to use any associated names. Plus Ariana Grande is quite well known now so might get too popular.

I taught an Aida (in Spain), pron eye-da, which I thought was lovely, and opera related so similar to Aria

Alexandra was the first one that sprung to mind

I've got an Aria, who for a while was going to be Ariella, as Ella was DHs second choice name. But we wanted to keep the name short so went with Aria in the end.

Tbh I'm kind of talking myself into Arianna. Would the Ariana Grande association put you off ?

I like Aurelia and Ariadne but they don't sound as nice in our accent we in Scotland have to be careful I think.

Speaking as a fellow hp obsessive fan, I think Arianna is beautiful & the majority wouldn't associate it with potter as minor character ....not like your going with Hermione I would of but got vetoed both times
Also dont stress in relation to pop stars, most fade pretty quickly over the years.
Also I've the same (full) name as a very famous actress from the 80's - she didn't fade to anyone over 35, but its never done me any harm, I actually quite like it!
Adrianna is a lovely name Smile

I'm a big HP fan but I have no recollection of the Arianna character Blush and Ariana Grande isn't that big over here - I wouldn't associate the name with her if that make sense. Britney on the other hand...!

It's only spelled with one N in HP I just prefer it with two haha !! She's dumbledores sister.

DH has just decided it's too American now anyway Hmm

Would never think of Grande tbh. My friend is Italian and called Ariana and I think of Italy. Such a lovely name

I don't know who Ariana Grande is so wouldn't put me off. Ariana is lovely.

I know an Arlia (not sure in spelling) but don't know if that is too similar to Aria?

If you love Aria can you definitely not use it?
