love Aria but can't use it

I'm trying to think of similar names.

I did think of Arianna but as a massive HP fan I don't think I'd like to use any associated names. Plus Ariana Grande is quite well known now so might get too popular.

Just looked at her Mum's fb page and name is spelt Arlea.

We have an Aria and also like the name Allegra, which has a similar sound and also has musical connotations. Pregnant with number 2 now and wouldn't use it ourselves as it would create a bit of a theme, but I do think it is really pretty.

Arianna is lovely and doesn't make me think of Harry Potter at all, but I agree it has become more popular due to Ariana Grande. That can happen with any name though so don't let that put you off a name you love. We get some comments about Game of Thrones but mostly people think of the musical term, and in time any reference to a pop star / TV show /book will fade.

I was referring to the OP's post saying her husband/partner thought it was too American.

My DD is called Alexis but toyed with idea of Alexa for a while... Possibly also Aurora, Lara, Elise, Alicia... I know I have others because I like that sort of name but I can't think off the top of my head I'll get back to you

Never heard of Ariana Grande, Ariana is quite difficult to say though. I have a friend called Aria shame you can't use it. I also have a friend called Alexa
