Please help! We just can't decide. What do people prefer? We'd probably use Cordy day to day for Cordelia.

Both nice names but I prefer Robyn

LauraChant · 21/10/2015 14:09

I really like Cordy/ Cordelia, Robyn not so much.

LauraChant · 21/10/2015 14:10

Straight away two different preferences! Sorry OP!

Gileswithachainsaw · 21/10/2015 14:11

I like bo. I'd probably go fir Robyn

Gileswithachainsaw · 21/10/2015 14:11

both

squoosh · 21/10/2015 14:12

I'd probably go for Robyn and Cordelia is a tad frilly. Cordy is very cute though as a nickname.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 21/10/2015 14:18

Robyn

Mouthfulofquiz · 21/10/2015 14:26

I love the name Robyn - it's gorgeous.

celtictoast · 21/10/2015 14:30

Robyn

reuset · 21/10/2015 14:45

Robyn is awful. That particular spelling, a horrid attempt at feminising (just use Robin!)

Cordelia is better, though I prefer Delia, Dilly or Cora for nick names

Binkybix · 21/10/2015 14:47

Interesting so far. Thanks! I really dislike Delia, Dilly and Cora as nicknames - it's one of the things that's putting me off Cordelia.

Cordy is a bit odd too, sounds like Gordy.

Binkybix · 21/10/2015 14:58

So we've established that whatever we choose reuset isn't keen!!

celtictoast · 21/10/2015 14:59

Cassia or Cecilia as alternatives to Cordelia?

LemonBreeland · 21/10/2015 15:01

Cordelia. I'm not keen on unisex names, I feel they never sound right for either sex.

reuset · 21/10/2015 15:03

Not so. Grin I like Cordelia, but not Cordy. I don't mind, I suppose, Robin, but dislike your chosen spelling.

IamSantaClaus · 21/10/2015 15:20

Robyn. Lovely name

AmysTiara · 21/10/2015 15:24

Robyn with that spelling

KaraokeQueenOfTheNorth · 21/10/2015 15:27

Love both names! I love Cordelia but honestly I'd probably go for the "safer" option of Robyn...

Indole · 21/10/2015 15:33

Definitely Cordelia.

Floralnomad · 21/10/2015 15:42

I think they are both lovely but I don't like Cordy as a nn .

Sophronia · 21/10/2015 15:44

Definitely Cordelia. Robyn feels very masculine to me, and a bit dated to the 80s.

Notso · 21/10/2015 15:51

Robyn by a million miles.

Cordelia is absolutely awful IMO.

JanuaryJuniper · 21/10/2015 15:53

Without a doubt Cordelia!

Binkybix · 21/10/2015 15:54

Thanks guys. This thread has really settled it Grin
