If it weren't for the fact that it is a face cream.

And Harpic would be quite a good boys' name.

Are there any other products out there that have nabbed what could be perfectly acceptable names?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I remember telling my mum I was going to call my daughter Pearlintude after her Plenitude face cream when I was younger.

I wonder if she might have been slightly upset I found her face cream more appropriate to name the potential child after rather than her grandmother!!

I'm impressed with all the real life science names.

I had Amelia ruined for me when I found out in medical terms it means "without limbs". Melena is blood in poo. I don't mention this to their parents!

PurpleDaisies · 08/10/2015 17:08

On the face cream theme, what about Astral? That's almost a real band.

PurpleDaisies · 08/10/2015 17:09

A real name not band!

Olay is sort of convincing as a name.

Savagebeauty · 08/10/2015 17:24

Labia for a girl

anastasiakrupnik · 08/10/2015 18:25

My husband really likes Abellio.

MouldyPeach · 08/10/2015 18:28

savage the only thing with that is the difficulty picking the middle name, Minora or Majora..

iwantgin · 08/10/2015 18:30

Branston.
It's very manly.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 08/10/2015 18:39

I know an Ariel, and that boy whose mum refused the cancer treatment that was in the news was called Neon.

Medela (breast pump) sounds nice.

TheTravellingLemon · 08/10/2015 18:48

Ariel is a fairly common hebrew name.

Strokethefurrywall · 08/10/2015 18:55

My mum is Lenor(e) - I love it and want it for my mythical daughter.

Zampa · 08/10/2015 18:56

Myopia ...

ChessieFL · 08/10/2015 19:03

Sorry Lambbone, Ananya was one of the Body Shop perfumes in the 90s

Laquila · 09/10/2015 21:17

Isn't Nivea a Spanish girls name?

PattyPenguin · 10/10/2015 16:25

I can't find Nivea as a Spanish girl's name. There's Nieves, which is one of the names from descriptions of the Virgin Mary, like Mercedes, Dolores and Pilar. (It means 'snows'.)

Pipbin · 10/10/2015 16:28

I've always loved Broccoli for a girl

Lettice is a name so I can't see why not.

ClashCityRocker · 10/10/2015 16:35

I had my SIL convinced that fellatio was a good name for a boy - until she googled it...(I would have stepped in if she was seriously considering it probably).

SoftBlocks · 10/10/2015 16:37

zampa

Myopia is lovely

bolleauxnouveau · 10/10/2015 16:47

Insomnia would be a good name for a baby, and her sister Dyspepsia.

WillSomebodyThinkOfStefan · 10/10/2015 19:56

As a pharmacist I would go for:
Xerelto
Lyxumia
Evista
Lyrinel
Indivina
Elleste
Sandrena
