Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
IHaveBrilloHair · 26/09/2015 20:07

Don't

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 26/09/2015 20:07

No

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 26/09/2015 20:08

No

MissBattleaxe · 26/09/2015 20:08

nope. She'll have a lifetime of "I thought your name was Jolly?" every time she's not smiling.

BerniceB · 26/09/2015 20:08

Only if you use the middle names Green Giant.

FoxesSitOnBoxes · 26/09/2015 20:08

Oh no no no no!

Wolfiefan · 26/09/2015 20:08

Um no. Lots of jokes when she's grumpy or stroppy. Just no.

zippyswife · 26/09/2015 20:09

I work with a woman with this name and she's just not. I wouldn't.

BeverlyGoldberg · 26/09/2015 20:09

Have it as a nickname.

Try to imagine how it would sound in a job interview.

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/09/2015 20:09

Is it even a name? Short for something?

It's a bit... Mr Man

RJnomaaaaaargh · 26/09/2015 20:10

I've never heard it as a name except for jolly tall the giraffe in old bear.

What about jolie?

DriverSurpriseMe · 26/09/2015 20:10

God, no.

RJnomaaaaaargh · 26/09/2015 20:10

Or jolene?

RiaOverTheRainbow · 26/09/2015 20:11

Could work as nn for Joy, or maybe Felicity/Felicia.

WorzelsCornyBrows · 26/09/2015 20:11

Isn't it short for Joleon, which is a boys name

Pumapants283 · 26/09/2015 20:13

Jolie makes me think of Angelina Jolie! If I didn't immediately think of her then I probably would like it more. I've got no issue with her just don't want to be naming my child after her

WanderingTrolley1 · 26/09/2015 20:13

Sorry, but that's an awful name to saddle your daughter with.

Pumapants283 · 26/09/2015 20:14

Felicity is my other favourite, dh doesn't like it either, says it sounds too much like a fairy

KaraokeQueenOfTheNorth · 26/09/2015 20:15

I like it as a cutesy nickname. It needs a proper name though. Juliet?

PurpleDaisies · 26/09/2015 20:15

Adding my vote to the no camp. Nickname maybe but no as an actual name.

Misnomer · 26/09/2015 20:15

Nope.

Jolie is nice. My first thought was Jolie Richardson.

RJnomaaaaaargh · 26/09/2015 20:17

Ooh she's joely isn't she? Another option?

SealSong · 26/09/2015 20:17

Confused Ridiculous 'name', sorry.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 26/09/2015 20:35

There's being different and being silly. This falls into the ridiculously silly category.

msgrinch · 26/09/2015 20:39

That is not a name. Don't call your child "jolly". Will your next one be "angry"? Unless you're snow white naming 7 little men, just don't.
