Rowan - For a girl??

Hello,

My OH and I are expecting a little girl and are really struggling with names. We have a top 10 but only 1 really sticks out.

How would you react meeting a little girl called Rowan? We both love the name but not sure how well it fits a girl?

I know a female Rowan in real life, and only males one on tv (Atkinson and Williams). I prefer it for a girl.

It's a name I like, although I do tend to think of it as a boys name. no reason a girl shouldn't be called it, I suppose.

Rowena was the traditional female variant, AFAIK.

I know a Rowan, female, in her 20s. Lovely name.
