Annie.

It would have been Annie until a few weeks ago - one of my favourite films as a child. I stupidly introduced it to the DDs. It has been watched EVERY DAY and I have the songs twirling round my head constantly! Therefore I can't hear the name without thinking "Tomorrow, Tomorrow I love ya..." Aaargh!

Second favourite is probably Poppy. Smile

HeteronormativeHaybales · 09/09/2015 10:34

Matilda. Was a strong contender for our impending dd (have gone with something else though).
Poppy and Daisy will date. Annie is nice but I think I would go with Anne or (if you have Welsh connections) Rhiannon on the birth cert. Polly I think if my second favourite - quirky, cool, quite zeitgeisty without being overly popular.

Marcipex · 09/09/2015 11:05

Polly, with Daisy a close second.

SummerMonths · 09/09/2015 12:56

Love Matilda, Polly and Annie.

The other two will date and are ubiquitous at the moment.

Polly

My DD (5) has a friend callled Poppy. Due to an unfortunate spelling error made when she was learning to write, she is universally known as 'Poopy'.

So, Matilda, or Annie - less 'little girl cutesy' than your other names, work for a strong woman too.

ifgrandmahadawilly · 09/09/2015 13:15

Mathilda - It's feminine and lovely without being all 'little girly' like the others.

ifgrandmahadawilly · 09/09/2015 13:16

Ooops, Matilda. I spelled it wrongly.

squoosh · 09/09/2015 13:22

Matilda is nice as long as it isn't shortened to Tilly. For some reason Tilly really irritates me.

NotMeNotYouNotAnyone · 10/09/2015 19:51

Matilda or Poppy

DramaAlpaca · 10/09/2015 22:33

Matilda is my favourite.

I like Annie as a nickname for Anna or Anne.

The others are too cutesy for me.

twinjocks · 10/09/2015 23:29

Daisy

susurration · 13/09/2015 13:40

Matilda, shortened to Mattie.

SmugairleRoin · 13/09/2015 13:42

Matilda. The others are too cutesy for me.

Anne on its own is lovely though!
