Matilda

But I would choose Anna over Matilda

Ham69 · 13/09/2015 22:17

Polly followed by Annie

Snossidge · 13/09/2015 22:23

I like Polly and Annie.

Every little girl I meet is called Matilda these days!

Comingroundthemountain · 13/09/2015 22:24

Annie is number one on my list at moment.

Also like Daisy.

Know too many dogs called Poppy which is annoying as is lovely name. Was v cross when friend named her puppy this as took it off my list!

Polly is lovely.

Am not a fan of Matilda.

All are baby/little girl names and don't suit an adult woman. Anne gets my vote, go for it without the i.

poppy

Love Polly, Matilda and Annie.

Don't like Daisy or Poppy.

Matilda or polly

I agree with posters who have flagged up the name suitability issue in the long term. Most of your choices are very cutesie, IMO. A baby Anne would be very refreshing, though--you can still shorten to Annie for her younger years and then she can use her full name when she's older.

Poppy, Polly and Annie. The others not so much (over used)

BrieAndChilli · 16/09/2015 18:31

I have a Matilda, shorterned to Tilda a lot. We never meet any other Matilda's round our way (South Wales) and people always comment on what a lovely name it is. She is 7 though and I think it's become more popular in the last couple of years

Kaekae · 20/09/2015 00:04

My DD (5) has a friend callled Poppy. Due to an unfortunate spelling error made when she was learning to write, she is universally known as 'Poopy'.

My DD is a Poppy and she never had this problem when learning to spell her name. She would count the amount of Ps.

I love Matilda and I think Polly is lovely and a refreshing alternative to Poppy...which is very popular now.

Paddletonio · 20/09/2015 00:31

Annie or daisy

Narp · 20/09/2015 11:57

Annie, or better: Anna

MamaLazarou · 20/09/2015 16:04

I don't like any of them. Too cutesy. Annie is the least bad, but Anne would be better.

Mclaren37 · 24/09/2015 00:53

Matilda is my fav (although rather popular right now). Then Polly / Poppy (both great). Then Daisy (too twee for me). Annie last in afraid, I think Anna and Annie are just kind of boring and have been way over-used over the years.

cherrypez · 26/09/2015 16:23

I have a 7 year old called Polly, it isn't too popular so it shouldn't date. I think it's a bloody fab name!
