I like it

BikeRunSki · 04/09/2015 23:28

Much better on a girl than a boy Wink

I'd never come across any until a couple of years ago, and now there's 2 at nursery with DD(3). It's ok.

Lottiedaydreambeliever2014 · 05/09/2015 09:01

I like it, quite uncommon but nice.

CaptainCallisto · 05/09/2015 09:04

Automatically makes me think of Lois Lane, but I think it's nice.

Have yet to come across one in our area too.

SmugairleRoin · 05/09/2015 10:57

Yes, love it!

CheekyMaleekey · 05/09/2015 11:02

Lois from Family Guy. Naff.

BeautifulBatman · 05/09/2015 11:07

Love love love Lois. It's one of 3 on my girls names list.

Bellebella · 05/09/2015 11:13

I have a 3 year old cousin called Lois, the only one I know. It's a really nice name, people get used to it.

MamaLazarou · 05/09/2015 12:40

It's lovely -as long as your surname doesn't start with 'T' or it could easily become 'Lowest'.

Coolforthesummer · 05/09/2015 12:45

Nice name. I know one, 50s.

scatterthenuns · 05/09/2015 12:48

I have a friend called Lois, who is 25. She is a fashion editor for a magazine. She is effortlessly cool in a 70's chic kind of way. I absolutely love this name.

CruCru · 05/09/2015 18:09

I love it.

Sophronia · 05/09/2015 18:24

I seem to be the only one, but I'm not keen. I find it quite dull and the sound unattractive.

WorzelsCornyBrows · 05/09/2015 18:25

I love it. Wanted it for ours but DH hates it Angry

Squooshed · 05/09/2015 19:26

I don't like it much. It's having a MN moment though, seems to get mentioned a lot.

Kcooper26 · 05/09/2015 19:45

Whats a MN moment?

I can't get past the family guy connection but apart from that it's not a bad name

SixtyFootDoll · 05/09/2015 21:32

Fab name. I know a 5 yr old Lois.

Teachermummy27 · 07/09/2015 18:03

So have a lois so I'm biased but I think it's a much underused, classic bifocal name. It works for someone feminine or tomboyish and has no posh/common connotations either.

Teachermummy27 · 07/09/2015 18:04

Bifocal? Ruddy autocorrect!! Biblical!!!

FaceFullOfFilleronthe45 · 07/09/2015 18:09

LOVE LOVE LOVE Lois, have done for many years. It's classy and slightly unusual without being too trendy or off the wall. It was on my list for DS 17 years ago but I never got to use it.

kateemo · 07/09/2015 18:11

This is my mother's name. Good name. Smile

Nonwittyusername · 07/09/2015 18:19

Love it, beautiful name.

Doilooklikeatourist · 07/09/2015 18:28

Like Lois
Only problem is here in Wales it's pronounced Loyce ( rhymes with Joyce ) which isn't very nice

MrsBungle · 07/09/2015 18:31

I love Lois. I know one who is 35 and one who is 6.
