This is the only actual name that DP & I actually really like for a girl (we don't know what we are having).

Any thoughts?

I love Vienna the city and I have always thought it would make quite a nice girls' name. After all children are called after lots of other cities - I know an Austin, a Savannah, two Parises and plenty of Chelseas (OK, that's not a whole city, but it's still a place name). Not to mention countries as names - India, Chad, Jordan...

Yes, there would be people who would mention the song but I don't think that has to be a deal-breaker. If you try hard enough you can probably think of a song for any name - and that's quite a nice song anyway. My name certainly isn't strongly associated with a song, but one of my teachers at my first school always used to sing a song that mentioned it that I'd never even heard of (my mum confirmed it was a real song, but a rather old one). It would be people of her parents' generation anyway, not her own friends.
