Talia is the only one I've heard of and is a nice name. Can also be spelled Thalia I think.

Not sure how to pronounce Gaia. Lynelle sounds like a contraceptive pill...prefer Melissa to Melina personally but please not ranny!! Sounds very odd...like granny but missing a letter and I can envisage much playground teasing...

MemphisBella · 16/07/2015 16:45

Jocelyn and Talia are lovely.

Gaia nice but might get some bullying in school.

The others sound made up to me!

pinkandpurplepills · 16/07/2015 16:47

pronounced

LIN - ELLE
MEH - LEENA
TAR-LEE-UH
JOSS-UH-LIN
RAN-EE
GUY-UH

Jocelyn definitely the best.

RoobyTuesday · 16/07/2015 16:47

Melina is the same as 'malaena' which is a medical term for blood in the poo so I'd avoid that one!Smile

RoobyTuesday · 16/07/2015 16:48

Talia and Gaia are nice though.

silverglitterpisser · 16/07/2015 16:48

Absolutely no offence but most of these sound like middle aged country singers or something to me?

Thalia I have heard of n is lovely, tho.

WestEast · 16/07/2015 16:50

Melina makes me think of GI bleeding...

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 16/07/2015 16:51

Thalia is the only one I vaguely like. Ranny is awful, Melina sounds like blood in your poo, linelle sounds like a sanitary towel.

averythinline · 16/07/2015 16:55

if you hadnt have said would have thought lynelle would be like ly-nell

Talia - is nice but having known french/spanish girls with that name usually pronounce Ta lea or Thalia - so tha leea

I like Gaia - and great meaning as the mother of the world..or Earth

So would pick Talia/Gaia

barbecue · 16/07/2015 16:57

Talia

BleachEverything · 16/07/2015 16:57

Gaia is lovely

Heels99 · 16/07/2015 16:58

Jocelyn

TheReluctantCountess · 16/07/2015 17:01

Ranny, spelt this way, wouldn't be pronounced Ray-nee.

CakeRattleandRoll · 16/07/2015 17:01

Jocelyn

peacefuleasyfeeling · 16/07/2015 17:02

Jocelyn by a mile. Followed by Gaia.

BreeVDKamp · 16/07/2015 17:05

Jocelyn but known as Joss. Love Joss!

LemonYellowSun · 16/07/2015 17:07

Most of them sound like a contraceptive pill!!

Jocelyn is really nice. Joss is nice.

NerrSnerr · 16/07/2015 17:11

I quite like Jocelyn, not keen on the others.

00100001 · 16/07/2015 17:11

reluctant who said it was pronounced ray-nee?

I like Jocelyn

knickernicker · 16/07/2015 17:14

Only Jocelyn

sweetpeame · 16/07/2015 17:14

The only one I've ever heard of is Jocelyn. I don't especially like it but it's the best of the bunch. TBH most of the other names sound quite ugly and/or made up.

ashesandfire · 16/07/2015 17:16

Jocelyn is the only one I like. Talia is OK but I prefer it as a nn for Natalia and pronounced Ta-lia rather than Tar-lia

flanjabelle · 16/07/2015 17:37

I'm sorry but ranny would sound like tranny to me. the double n would make it be pronounced in that way. definite no.

I love thalia, but you need the h in it or it looks silly.

meganellicott · 16/07/2015 19:39

Gaia is one of my favourite girls names!! I have a very good friend called Gaia and have always been envious of her name.
Please don't use Melina...the medical meaning is just to gross!!
