Choosing same first and last name as an Irish celebrity?? Last minute panic!

NC for this as identifying! Baby due in 2 days!
I have loved the name Clodagh (Clo - da) for years, DH too. I have a DD but at the last minute after she was born I got concerned (about this reason) and gave her the name 2nd on our list.

If I have a DD2 there is no other name I like as much, but it is the name of a chef in Ireland. I live in Northern Ireland and I don't watch TV so I am not sure how famous she is (I know I have had time to research better but really have not worried about it until last few days), if you google the name you get a lot of pictures of her and she seems successful. But would it be like calling your child Gordon Ramsey? Or Jamie Oliver? Or would that matter?

I have asked a few people I know/ relatives who think it is fine (they had heard of her) but I am not sure they are giving me an independent opinion.

Just googled her and she looks vaguely familiar, I still think you're fine BTW it's nothing like calling the baby Jamie Oliver!

Clodagh is a lovely name, go for it. The chef Clodagh will be long forgotten when your lo will be older.

I've never heard of that chef (not in Ireland) but it would be odd if you already had Paul and Virginia...

Not Irish but I've never heard of her. Sounds like there's nothing to worry about from previous responses! I understand your concern though - my surname is the same as a very famous pop star, and by coincidence her first name is one I've always quite liked but will now never be able to use!

It's such a beautiful name and the chef is probably just having 5 minutes in the spot light (I've never heard of her myself) - defiantly nowhere near a Jamie Oliver comparison. Use it and enjoy!

Do you have a gossip mad friend to ask how famous she is - not the type of person who thinks current music is rubbish, but a pop-mad, Taylor Swift-loving, trashy magazine-reading, Kardashian-watching light culture nut? They will be able to give you the best assessment!

I have heard of her and could visualise her when you said the name (I'm in N Ireland too) but I don't think you should let that put you off.

And I love the name Clodagh.

Now if it were Rachel Allen...! But no, I would certainly go ahead.
