For dc3!

Have a feeling it'll be a boy!

Brother is Reuben.

Love it Smile

EsioTrot · 25/06/2015 19:33

Fab!

poocatcherchampion · 25/06/2015 19:33

Everywhere and try hard

DoloresLandingham · 25/06/2015 19:34

Arlo and Reuben are a quintessentially 2010s pair.

MishMooshAndMogwai · 25/06/2015 19:44

Love it, want it for imminent dc2 but dp says its silly to have 2 dcs with anagrams of each others names and he's right Angry

HuftysTrain · 25/06/2015 19:47

I first head of this when the newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky had her son.

It's very nice but I'd worry it's a bit trendy.

HuftysTrain · 25/06/2015 19:48

What's it an anagram of?

reuset · 25/06/2015 19:52

Sounds like you dropped the 'h' I like it not. On trend by all accounts.

FriskyMare · 25/06/2015 19:55

Hufty think it's probably Orla

GatoradeMeBitch · 25/06/2015 20:01

There have been a few threads about this name recently! Someone from TOWIE has a new baby Arlo. And it does sound like someone from Towie saying 'Harlow'. Whereabouts do you live?

MishMooshAndMogwai · 25/06/2015 21:32

Sorry, yes dd1 is an Orla!

Sophronia · 25/06/2015 21:41

Agree that it's very trendy and 'now', I think it will date badly.

smearedinfood · 25/06/2015 21:45

I have one and the name was well received - throws lazer eyes at anyone not loving the name..

BeautifulStars93 · 25/06/2015 22:41

im really not keen sorry

CrystalMcPistol · 25/06/2015 23:25

Very....of the moment. Kind of name a soap star calls their kid.

charlyn · 26/06/2015 10:08

It was on my list when pregnant with dd (whos now 2) but Ive since gone off it as it seems to be getting very popular and worried about it being faddy/trendy.

ThursdayLast · 26/06/2015 10:12

I really dislike it.

Is it a derivative of something?

RedToothBrush · 26/06/2015 10:38

Third thread this week for Arlo.

Really faddy and trendy and will be hideously over used for 2 years before everyone realises it sounds like Harlow and is no longer ridiculously middle class.

LikeSilver · 26/06/2015 10:41

I have an Arlo, I love it (obvz). I haven't met another. I do know there's a Disney film due out in November about a dinosaur called Arlo though, so there may be a few around ????

MadMum2015 · 26/06/2015 10:42

Too trendy by half.
Reuben is lovely, of its time but still classic but Arlo a step too far I think.

RedToothBrush · 26/06/2015 10:43

You know when a name has 'jumped the shark' when it becomes a Disney name!

Oliversmumsarmy · 26/06/2015 10:48

My first thought it was the name of a Landlord insurance company, then a town in Essex

Zakken · 26/06/2015 11:14

Terrible. A current "trendy" fad and it will date badly.

Griffineater · 26/06/2015 13:41

Agree with most posters that, although a nice sounding name, Arlo will date very quickly unfortunately. It is a bit like a boys version of Evie, Isla and Lola from a few years back. Not heard of much before, then suddenly ubiquitous. Tread carefully OP. Similar boys names which are trendy at the moment and used by celebs a bit are Max, Rex, Seth, Asa, Ezra, Ludo and Milo. A bit cool now equals not at all in a few years time. This is personal choice of course so go for it if none of this concerns you. Just stating how it is. It is all to go with perception of what sounds fresh and new to our ears right now.

5madthings · 26/06/2015 13:46

Love it, it's ds4's middle name, he is rudi arlo, ds2 is Oscar reuben, so I love both your names.
