I love this name and have never met a little one named it.
But I've also never met a little Henry or Reuben and apparently these names are v popular.

So IRL how many little Patricks do you know?

I know/have known 5 Patricks but no little children. One in his 60s known as Pat, one in his 40s and one in 30s both known as Paddy and one 30s and one 20s who were always Patrick.

There were 2 Henrys in 5yo DS' nursery though. Don't think I've ever known a Reuben.

screamingskull · 23/05/2015 08:08

I know 2 Patrick's one in his 20's and new born. One Harry about 10 yrs and one Reuben around 7 yrs.

leccybill · 23/05/2015 08:16

I love this name.
Love Pat (our son Pat- remember that?)

Smugnogplease · 23/05/2015 09:36

There are 2 at my dcs Catholic primary. I'm going to go against the grain and say I really don't like it, not sure why but it is the same type in my mind as Connor which I can't stand either. Sorry

UniS · 23/05/2015 09:43

I know a baby Patrick, a primary school Patrick, a secondary school patrick and a couple of adults.

switchitoff · 23/05/2015 09:49

I know 3: one aged 50, one aged 13 and one aged 7 (who gets called Paddy). I think it's a great name.

I wouldn't say Henry or Reuben were massively popular round here. We know a couple of both.

bluecheque4595 · 23/05/2015 09:55

Two very handsome (fanciable) school gate dads called Patrick. One from N Ireland. The other English but with the look of Ray Liotta. Mmm.

counttotenandbreathe · 23/05/2015 10:04

My dh is Patrick he gets Pat and Paddy too. Don't know any littlies, however, know of Patryk for Polish children at dc school.

Rosalie43 · 23/05/2015 10:04

I really love the name (am not Irish, though), and it was on my list for my DS, who has a name of similar ilk (popular in 60s and 70s), and which is shared by no-one else at school (or under 40 Grin). Go for it (but Pat is horrible, I agree with PP), and buck the Henry/Sam/Oliver/George etc trend....

tortoisesarefab · 23/05/2015 10:07

I know one 4 month old Patrick and another not born yet but the plan is to call him Patrick so I think it is on the up for babies

MaraThonbar · 23/05/2015 11:07

I know a teenage Patryk and a thirty something Paddy.

cosytoaster · 23/05/2015 11:22

I have a 13 year old one, he's always been the only one in his schools (in England). It often gets shortened to Pad.

SunnyBaudelaire · 23/05/2015 11:25

I know one who is 60 and one who is 19.
Kind of a classic name really.

AGirlCalledBoB · 23/05/2015 11:28

Loads! I have uncles, cousins, family friends called Patrick but then we are a old Irish family.

Over in the UK, excluding the Irish family I know two.

Sophronia · 23/05/2015 12:34

I know one aged around 23.

getbusyliving · 23/05/2015 12:44

Only know 1 Patrick and he's 8

I find this a very useful tool to gauge trend/popularity

Wendied · 24/05/2015 21:12

I know just one, he's 2 and is my DS.

LilQueenie · 24/05/2015 21:17

I know a gorgeous little Patrick who is 6 Wink

He is the only one in our school, we are in England.

He gets called Paddy.

The only other Patrick we know is little Patrick's Great Grandfather.

YellowPirate · 24/05/2015 21:32

I have a 9 month old Patrick. We know one other, an acquaintance whose son is about 4. We get a lot of compliments!

DancingDinosaur · 24/05/2015 21:33

Lovely name, I really like it. I know a few old Patricks (my age) but no young ones. Great choice.

Mrsj70 · 24/05/2015 21:35

I have both a Patrick and a Henry!

DramaAlpaca · 24/05/2015 21:47
