Noah - how many do you know?

Really like this name and it seems just outside top 10 but I get the impression it has gone stratespherically popular. I don't know any. But then I don't know any large numbers of children with one particular name, even the Jack, Harry, etc I only know 1 or 2 of each. This name also seems to pop up on the 'names that will date' threads which also seems strange as its not a modern name. Help! Baby already born and awaiting his name!

I know 5 all under 5 seems pretty popular

Tootaboo · 13/05/2015 10:53

I know 4, one is 3 years old and the others are just babies. I love the name but DH doesn't like it.

iklboo · 13/05/2015 10:56

Two are 7, one is 5, two are 3.

AGirlCalledBoB · 13/05/2015 11:01

None! And I love love love the name Noah. I wanted it for ds but my oh would not have any of it

Totality22 · 13/05/2015 20:11

In RL I know none, I do know a few ladies from a pregnancy forum that have used it though.

hawkmcqueen · 13/05/2015 20:17

A billion! In reality about 10, all under 5. Name of the hour.

BeeInYourBonnet · 13/05/2015 20:19

Two in my DSs Y1 class, and one in class below.

starlightloz · 13/05/2015 20:26

My youngest and another his age.
I didn't know any at all when we chose it and am mildly disappointed it seems so popular because my other two boys have quite rare names and I love that. Surge in popularity can only be because it's a lovely name though so go for it.

Wigeon · 13/05/2015 20:33

One. Aged about 18mths. Did you know Noah in the bible was really not a nice character at all?!

mamaslatts · 14/05/2015 14:59

Wigeon - I didn't know that, but he was resourceful in a crisis Grin

Just one - age 3

mamaslatts · 14/05/2015 15:03

starlight - yes, my other 2 boys have names outside the top 100 and although I don't mind if its more popular, would rather it wasn't one of a thousand. I can't find anything else that suits him that I like as much though! Thought of Oscar yesterday although according to the list this is more popular than Noah but again I don't know any. In this area its quite bohemian so lots of more unusual names and all the top 10 like Harry, Jack etc I only know one of and some names I don't know any.

NickiFury · 14/05/2015 23:35

One.

Shizzy · 14/05/2015 23:35

I know 5 between ages of 0-6yrs.

MediumEnglisch · 14/05/2015 23:39

4 - eldest is 10, youngest 3. One in DD (9)'s class, one in DS1 (7)' s, 2 at DS2 (4)'s Kindergarten. It's popular in Germany too :)

heylilbunny · 15/05/2015 10:06

We are in Germany and my best friend's son is called Noah, he is 7. It is one of those names that has taken off in every country we have lived in. Like Sofia/Sophia which is mega popular in much of the Western world (UK, USA, Germany, Australia, Canada etc,.)

I still like it though!
