Noah - how many do you know?

Really like this name and it seems just outside top 10 but I get the impression it has gone stratespherically popular. I don't know any. But then I don't know any large numbers of children with one particular name, even the Jack, Harry, etc I only know 1 or 2 of each. This name also seems to pop up on the 'names that will date' threads which also seems strange as its not a modern name. Help! Baby already born and awaiting his name!

Lots. Maybe 4 or so?

I also know a LOT of little Noas (girls): I would guess 8 or more (including 2 close family members).

If you like it, don't let its popularity put you off. It's a lovely name.

Thanks Pauline Smile

I know 6. One is DH's nephew, 3 are friends' children. 2 are at preschool with DD.

So it does seem quite popular to me.

charlyn · 12/05/2015 20:18

I know 5 all aged 1-4

StetsonsAreCool · 12/05/2015 20:21

I know 7, ranging from 5yo (DDs age group) down to newborn (DSs age group)

It's a nice name though, so don't let popularity put you off.

PannaDoll · 12/05/2015 20:22

A 16 year old and a 4 year old.

IvoryMadonna · 12/05/2015 20:24

I think it's a horrible name. Sounds like somebody being tortured.

Heleng1982 · 12/05/2015 20:30

love the name I know one but would still use it Smile

PaulineFossil · 12/05/2015 20:30

I think the OP was asking about popularity not if we liked it - she's said she really likes it. There's a week old baby boy who could be being called by this name right now.

VenusVanDamme · 12/05/2015 20:33

Two, both born in the last year

toptomatoes · 12/05/2015 20:35

I don't know any. I wanted to use it for DC2 who is nearly 5 but DH didn't agrees.

ApplesTheHare · 12/05/2015 20:38

It feels like all baby boys I know are called Noah. In reality I know 5 of them.

Anybody have any idea why it's suddenly so crazy popular...?

Blahia · 12/05/2015 20:41

Three. Between 6months and 2.5 yo. Lovely name (though a bit too biblical for my liking).

KaputKiss · 12/05/2015 20:54

4! One aged 11, one 8 and two aged 4.

Mintyy · 12/05/2015 20:56

I know two, aged 14 and 14. South East London is way ahead of the trend when it comes to baby names.

pinkchampagne1 · 12/05/2015 21:00

My nephew is a Noah - I love the name! I have known around 4others through my work in a primary school, 2 of them being sons of the teachers

WhatWouldBlairWaldorfDo · 12/05/2015 21:03

3,
aged 6mths, 3, and 8

I always think it sounds whingey though. Like when you tell a kid to turn off the tv "nooooo-ah"

Tattiesthroughthebree · 12/05/2015 21:09

One, aged 4,

PennilynLott · 12/05/2015 21:49

Mamaslatts there are a couple at nursery, at least one in each baby group, and a few more from school and uni friends on Facebook. It's a nice name though.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 12/05/2015 21:51

One aged 13, also in South East London Smile

badg3r · 12/05/2015 21:54

One, under 2. If you like it and it fits you little one then go for it, it's a lovely name! You'll be kicking yourself if you pick something you like less just because it's less common now.

sweetpeame · 12/05/2015 22:35

I only know one, he's about 15 months old.

twinjocks · 12/05/2015 22:51

Five, one is 14, one 13, the others are all under 5yo
