Obviously we all have our own ideas and opinions so I won't be offended. But I'm interested in what others might think of these names:

Ray, Daniel (Dan), Jeffrey (Jeff)
Anna, Helen

Love Anna and Helen. I like Daniel most of the three boy names. I don't really like Jeff.

Ray and Jeff - sorry just awful.
Daniel and Helen - quite middle of the road names that I neither like or dislike.
I do like Anna though , very pretty or Annabel.

I don't like Ray. Makes me think of a sleazy cop from the 70s - Gene Hunt's sidekick. I wouldn't trust a Ray. Dan is nice. Jeff - a rugby player? Not the name for a delicate soul.

Anna and Helen are both lovely.

I quite like most of them, but then I'm a child of the 70s. I also used to work with a young guy called Ray who was lovely, so it has positive connotations for me. Love Daniel and Anna, not mad keen on Helen but I am a Helen so maybe I'm just bored of it

I have a lovely cousin called Ray so possibly I am biased.

I think Jeffrey/Geoffrey is due a revival.

When I joked about calling my ds Jeff my cousin said I was holding him up to be the dim one of the family. Put me off the name there...
Ray is a real old man name, I dislike.

Daniel and Anna are very nice, Ray and Jeff are bad imo! Also like Helen and think Hannah or Ellen are good options.

I really like Daniel and Jeffrey as they are great solid boys names that are not over popular and quite timeless

I don't like the sound of Ray at all, also feels a bit like a nickname to me.

Anna and Helen are lovely classic names and i like the simplicity of both but they are a bit too safe for my taste

I heard 70s names are coming back. I think you are just super cool and a bit ahead of the curve. No one likes them now but they will in 5 years time.

Helen is a classic that is due a revival, I also like Helena a lot

Anna/Daniel - perfectly decent names but a bit dull IMO

Ray/Jeff - both a bit retro but if you like the names then go for it, I prefer Jeff to Ray

I really like Raymond.

Jeff is awful.

Anna and Daniel are nice, safe choices.

Helen is not a name I like but is perfectly acceptable.

Thanks for the comments, really helpful actually! I like 70s names but don't want a 70s theme! I want a name which is timeless and will endure, not faddy or too now... I like real, solid names, and I don't want my child laughed at!
Big brother to bump is Louis.
