I had Tabitha and Cecily (Tissie) on my shortlist as I to wanted a pretty and uncommon name but they were both vetoed by DH on the grounds of them being cats names.

I like Cleo out of your list the best.

BikeRunSki · 19/12/2014 08:01

In my experience/area Neve (and it's various spellings) is not at all uncommon.

I like Ines best from your list.

Verity?

I like Cleo and Sylvie the best! Definitely not Marylin! Makes me think of either Monroe or that woman from Home and Away. I agree with the poster above - I also like Tabitha, Autumn, Dorothy, Penelope?...

manicinsomniac · 19/12/2014 21:45

Ines - not keen
Silvie - It's ok. I think Sylvia is prettier
Genevieve - really like it
Cleo - like it. Cute and funky
Neve - really like it
Helena - not keen
Marilyn - really dislike it

Neve isn't unusual! The normal spelling - Niamh - is well within the top 100 and when you add in the Neve's it's pretty popular.

I like Helena. Though you always have the Hel-EN-A or Hel-ay-na question.

I like Genevieve.

Not keen on Marilyn.

Vivienne? Hermione? Cordelia?

wizzler · 19/12/2014 21:54

Like Helena.

I know a Sorelle and she is lovely... never met another.

Not sure how common it is, but I have a Madeleine and they never have that in any of the shops that sell personalised stuff.

Adele?

bluewisteria · 19/12/2014 22:00

Guinevere, Neve or Vera for short

33goingon64 · 19/12/2014 22:13

Isis??? Do you listen to the news??

furcoatbigknickers · 19/12/2014 22:16

Isis was on my list if ds was a girl thank fuck he wasn't

manicinsomniac · 19/12/2014 22:16

It's Isis not ISIS. A perfectly normal, very pretty name.

ChickenMe · 19/12/2014 22:30

Cleo is a fab name!
