Hi everyone,
Me and OH have finally came to an agreement - the name Lilia!

I just wondered what everyone's thoughts on the name were and how everyone would pronounce it?

Also whether people prefer the spelling Lillia or Lilia?

The middle name we like is Poppy - paying tribute to his GM.

I love it spelt Lilia.

Floop · 18/08/2014 15:34

Lilian Poppy? Really?

Too much cute, way too flowery.

Only one of these names, surely?

Lil-Lets was also my first thought. Pretty name, but sounds makey-uppy. Lilian is much nicer.

I thought those STs were Lillets?

Lilia - one L. Pronounced LIL-eeya. I love this name.

Makes me think of this film [http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilya_4-ever]] It's a bit non-mainstream and old now, but it absolutely traumatised me and I still think about it occasionally. Sorry!

It's also spelt Lilja in Russia and should be pronounced with only 2 syllables- "Lil-yah".

The DDs' cousin is called Lilia. When they met her they started singing "Lilia, oh Lilia oh have you seen Lilia, Lilia the tattooed baby!"

It didn't go down well with the parents... Grin
