Awful. Sorry!

SinglePringle · 08/07/2014 07:55

Awful.

slithytove · 08/07/2014 08:01

Yay, can't see the chav label at all, certainly not with that spelling

AnnaChiva · 08/07/2014 08:13

Awful. The Sharon/ Tracy of the 1990s

Lottiedoubtie · 08/07/2014 08:17

Nay from me, in the nicest possible way it's not a nice name!

Very downmarket 80's. I really wouldn't.

Lucked · 08/07/2014 08:26

I don't like it although I like the Scottish name Eilidh which has the same pronunciation without the K.

Only1scoop · 08/07/2014 08:28

No

Eelseelseels · 08/07/2014 08:28

Too dated for me (and now I've got the bloody song in my head). But like the name Kay. I know two really lovely ladies called Kay.

RiverTam · 08/07/2014 08:28

nay. And Kiki is awful, sorry!

Ludways · 08/07/2014 08:53

No, it's awful, especially with your surname.

Jinsei · 08/07/2014 08:56

No, don't like it, sorry.

Montsti · 08/07/2014 08:58

Nay!

PopcornFrenzy · 08/07/2014 09:21

So a huge resounding nay then, back to the drawing board then.

Why, if You like it are you rejecting it purely on a very small number of negative replies? Be your own person OP. There are some very snobby people on baby names. Would you call your baby Ptolemy (just an example) if everyone said they liked it?

Hang on, there's no reason not to use it just because people on here don't like it.

If you love it use it, never mind what people on MN say. I may not like it personally, but it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the name.

PopcornFrenzy · 08/07/2014 10:27

Fair enough, I'm not too sure on the name and DP is set on it, I'm worried about how it sounds with the surname. My own name starts with K and has 2 syllables so I have the same issue.

Theonlyoneiknow · 08/07/2014 10:29

What's the surname op?

PopcornFrenzy · 08/07/2014 10:30

Kirwan

VitoCorleone · 08/07/2014 10:32

Best name ever Grin

squoosh · 08/07/2014 10:51

Very 80's, very Marillion.

Nereida · 08/07/2014 11:51

Awful. Too late 80s / early 90s.

SureFootedWhispher · 08/07/2014 11:57

It's fashionable not to like names starting with a K. I have a Kayleigh, Kai and a Kelly in my extended family. I like them.

I also like Kira and Kirsty.

I might call my dog Kevin.

Go for it if you like it.
