Honest opinions on Axel?

It was suggested to me on another thread and dp likes it and I think I might. We were thinking Max and I wanted Abel but dp isn't keen and Axel is actually a mix of the two :p

I'm not sure I have the balls to do it though!

Some of the links to people in the public eye I've never heard of - only Axl rose which in our world is a good thing :p

I like Tate but I think it's too american sounding.

We have agreed on John as a middle name now.

How about Magnus if he like norse type names?

Alita7 · 21/06/2014 09:36

Not keen on Magnus, it makes me think of a short fat gangsta in a leather trench coat for some reason :p
DP likes norse/roman/Greek names, I'm trying to find a compromise, (trying not to make this the same as the thread that suggested Axel) i like Jacob, isaac, Alex, Ivor, Luke, Oscar, Oliver... but he either doesn't or we can't use them.

Fab name. I wanted it, wasn't allowed:(

CoteDAzur · 21/06/2014 11:27

How about Magnus?

mathanxiety · 21/06/2014 20:00

If he likes Norse names, then Axel might hit the spot. You could spell it Aksel.

HaroldLloyd · 21/06/2014 20:03

Oh I do like Loki.

fanjodisfunction · 21/06/2014 21:16

I like scandi names too, love heikki and nico, also hans. Named my son lachlan, which is scottish.

Really like axl,

we also liked

brae

longestlurkerever · 22/06/2014 11:16

Would Axel being an anagram of your own name be a bit confusing though? Bit tongue-twistery?

Alita7 · 22/06/2014 13:08

that is a bit weird, I hadn't thought of that!

I think we'll end up with Max...
