A name that goes with Hollie

Hello.

I am not actually pregnant but will be ttc later this year and am looking in advance to have a list of names that would go with Hollie and also just some names that are nice. I just wanted to see what others can come up with, including twin names just in case (they run in both sides of our families).

I'm not looking for anything with too weird of a spelling although a slight variation i.e. Catherine or Katherine is fine, because they are both valid names.

I named Hollie with the ie instead of Y as we loved the name but my partner has a Y surname so two Y's next to each other seemed awfully odd. Plus we wanted people to know we didn't name her for being around Christmas time as she is an April baby.

I don't like names that are spelt wrongly. Its Holly.

I like the name and the spelling. How about Hollie Elizabeth ?

She's not asking for a middle name option or opinions on her choice of spelling but for nice sibling names for future child! Jeez! Or sorry JESUS wouldn't want to offend anyone!

Saying that the spellling is weird is a fact, whatever reasons you have.

And I believe the word you were looking for is sarcastic, not sarcy, which does not exist.

oh for gods sake Hollie is a valid variation of Holly and her child is already called that, how rude!

How about Sophia, Eleanor or Lucy, depends if you want something to contrast a little as in Sophia or something the same such as Rosie or Lottie?

I think most boys names go with Hollie, can't think of one that does not apart form Ollie! :-)

Hollie is a perfectly recognisable and accepted variation of Holly. It's like Katy / Katie. It's not like it's a crazy you'neek spelling.

Sarcy is a shortening- do you complain to your friends when they say baccy or Sarnie star?

It's a pretty name regardless of the spelling. I don't subscribe to the school of thought that names "go with" other names, so just choose one that you like.

Those of you with Hollies have you found that you have had to correct other people's spelling of the name a lot?

Well Hollies is perfectly fine of course :) Sorry. Hollie just looks very odd to me, is it really a recognised variant? I think names that derive from flowers/plants etc should be spelled as the flower/plant is. But then my dd's short name is Lily but where we live now everyone seems to want to add another 'l' for some reason. Looks very odd to me.

My only view on a sibling name is that it probably shouldn't end in the same 'ie/y' sound as his/her sister.
