Considering Laurie - but...would he get 'Loz'? Any experiences?

Obviously I like it Grin

I knew a Laura who chose to nn herself as Laurie in a deliberate statement against Loz.

It didn't stick, though, and everyone carried on calling her Laura.

I liked Laurie, fwiw. Also like Lori, but that looks American to me, which doesn't feel 'right' compared to Laurie.

Laurie - natch!

flip - Lollo is cute!

My association for Laurie is either Little Women or Laurie Lee - both big favourites for me. I tend to prefer shorter names, or 'dimunitive' type names.

My other children are Meg, Bess, Emma and Rafe. I think Laurie fots pretty well?

For those with Laurie's themselves (or equally without!) which other names did you consider/have you got? It took me 6 + weeks to name my other Son, which was fine - but I would prefer to have a few favourites lined up in advance this time!

Love it. The last one I met was known as Lol!

Love it. Like you I'd associate with Laurie Lee

Laurie was actually a compromise name for us as DP and I couldn't agree on our first choices! I'm actually really pleased we went for it as both of those names have become really popular since then. DS loves his name too!

Other names on the list were:

Sebastian
Gilbert
Theo
Archie
Monty
Perry
Silas
Dominic
Hugh

surviving we have similar taste! I love Gilbert, but can't convince dh....
