Piper?

DH and I are expecting DD2 and my favourite name is Piper but DH is not 100%
What are your opinions on Piper? DD1 is Violet and my other possibilities are
Hazel
Tallulah
Felicity
Matilda
Ottilie

Also pipa means 'vagina' in Polish and blowjob in Italian

I love it too. It's DD's middle name. We are in Scotland with Scottish accents so it sounds nothing at all like Pippa.

There's a regional thing about surnames as first names - in Scotland it is not chavvy at all to do this.

Piper alpha

Piper makes me think of the great character in charmed - sad I know. Prefer it to anything else on your list. Now I wish I could think of any of the other sisters names in charmed to suggest those to you

I love Piper. One of the few 'American' names I like.

From your list I also like Hazel, the rest not so much. Felicity is the only other one I'd lean to, but nn Felix not Flick or Fliss.

Piper is a lovely name

I know a Piper who is 17, named after the American actress Piper Perabo. The Ottilies I know are about 13. Piper's brother is Lion, they're a family who go for it name wise.

Eastpoint I immediately thought of Piper Perabo too. She's beautiful and comes across as a really lovely person so that's the kind of person I'd imagine a Piper to be!

I also immediately though of Piper Perabo. Didn't she play a character called Violet in Coyote Ugly?

My best friend has a Piper - gorgeous name for a gorgeous girl. She's 8 now and best friend's DH still calls her piperoni :)

I don't like it, but I don't like 'american' names, particularly surnames used as first names, also just don't think it is a nice sounding name.

The Piper I know goes by Pip, Piparooni and Pipster.
She's a very outgoing child though and really works her name.

It is an English name and goes back in our family for generations.

I know a 22 year old Felicity who uses Fliss. Gorgeous name!

I like Piper but understand those saying it might date but don't all our names? FWIW I also like Martha and think it would be lovely with Violet, which is also gorgeous!
