Can I have just Liv? DD is just Meg, so im not averse to having a shorter name on the BC but I love Olive and DH loves Liv.

How would you pronounce it though. I would assume if just Liv it was 'Leev' and say it that way though don't know if most people would.
If it was Olivia called Liv I'd pronounce it 'Live' as in he Lives!

Liv is pronounced as in "I live in a house". I'm amazed that people don't get that.

I really dislike both Olive and Olivia but I love Liv, it's gorgeous as a stand alone name. I don't think having a 'shortened' name is an issue. I always introduce myself as Jo and nobody ever asks me what it is short for

I have a Liv. Liv Sofia. I get lots of compliments on her name but I find people tend to assume it's a nickname for Olivia. It's a beautiful name, simple and fresh I think.
