Continued girls name debate

Right, I'm back.
After presenting OH with my list of 44 weird and wonderful names, he's given the nod to 3.
My favourite 'Ivy' made the cut. But his other 2 surprised me.

Please share your preference on the following 3;

Ivy Angeline
Adele Angeline
Minnie Angeline

Ps we're in in oz, and Ivy is gaining popularity which is the downfall (for me). Whereas the other 2 are still quite rare here (although I know a few adult Adele's).

I like Adele best.

I'd advise against Minnie, Gold help her if she is in any way plump. Could make life tough. Also I just think of Mickey's silly girlfriend.

Yes, there's a trend of 'plump' women in our family.
Thus why I vetoed 2 early favourites, Poppy and Willow. Beautiful names, but they conjure up images of a tall willowy type.

I don't like Adele but I like the others!

Ivy is my fave, adele just makes me think of the singer, and Minnie is cartoonish.

I love Ivy beautiful name,but if it was becoming popular it may put me off too,

I had Minnie on my list once but loads of people told me its what there little girls called there girl parts it really put me off,

I'm not keen on Adele just because I went to school with a few and I think of it more as a name from my age group cxxx

I'm sure there were some facetious bores out there dying to have a go at my name choices as they have sadly done to others in this forum.

Nothing worse than an embittered woman belittling others choices.

In my family - when we were growing up 'Minnie' was a euphemism for vagina. Shame cause it's a lovely name otherwise - but I can't get past it. And I don't think it's so unusual that she would never come across it.

I hope this doesn't count as 'having a go' I actually really like the sound of it as a name and can completely see why you chose it!

I'm Australian - Adele makes me think of a woman of my mum's generation. I think it's pretty but perhaps dated?

Minnie short for Minerva perhaps.

I would avoid Minnie as it was a name for vagina where I'm from too, and if she's tall or plump it would be embarrassing for her.

If you like Adele but want to be slightly different, there is also Adela, which gives possibility for nickname Della...

In some parts of Scotland, Minnie was a pet name for 'Mother' and also a term of affection for a young girl (rather like 'Little Miss') - I don't know whether that was linked in any way to the slang use mentioned by other posters.

I think, aslo as earlier poster has said, that Minerva (or similar) nickname Minnie would be fine.

In German-speaking countries, 'Minna' was sometimes a nickname for 'Wilhelmina'.

Or Adeline (don't suppose Adeleide works in Oz)

Minnie might be difficult if she is of heavy build.
