I'm really starting to warm to the name Olive, I think it has a fresh quirky feel to it, with a vintage edge at the same time iykwim

I think it may be a marmite name....which is fine as I want something unusual!

I'm not keen on Olivia as it is overdone IMO.

So what do you think? Do you know any? Is it getting popular? What kind of vibe do you think it has?

I loved the name Olive when I was pregnant with DS but I'm so glad he had a penis because I see Olives quite often now among his toddler acquaintances. We are in London btw so it depends on the area. It put me off the name though, as I like to be yoouneek.

My niece is Olive Jean. Wasn't sure at first but love it now and totally suits her.

I don't know any. I really like Olivia but personally don't like olive it makes me think of a green person. Plus I think she'd need tanned skin to suit it and I'm very pale so there's shed chance dc1 will be too although Dp is tanned as are his other 3

It says "On the Buses" to me.

It also seems a bit too try hard in the "cool" name stakes (but I may be basing that on the Olives I've met)
