Why is 'Dalton, get down from that climbing frame' any different to 'Jack, get down from that climbing frame'?

As with any name, there are two tests.

Park test: imagine shouting it across a crowded park in fear, alarm or annoyance.

Quangocrat test: add it to your chosen surname, then put Professor Sir/Professor Dame in front of it and see how that sounds.

If it doesn't make you burst out laughing during either test, it's fine.
